I was once a buddist, but that little fat guy just creeped me out, kinda like that burger king commercial with the wierd king that stand s outside everybodys window with a hamburger in his hand.
My parents did not raise me in any religion. I started going to church with a friend and was in the choir. Then when i met my husband many yrs later I became baptist.
Sorry and everyone will jump on me for it but only true religion to god is saved.. Beleiving in him.. he is the way, truth and the light.. jesus died for out sins.. he is only way to heaven. Read the bible.
I mean what is so hard believing jesus died on the cross for our sins. If we pray to god and tell him we are a sinner and ask for forgivness, that we know jesus died on cross for our sins and rose again and ask him to be our saviour. How hard is that.. a simple prayer.. I mean if people do not believe that its their choice. I have nothing to lose...but you do.

i was raised a Catholic but now I just pray at home or try to find time to listen too soft music and find my innerself. All that kneeling and standing.felt like an aerobics class...
I was raised catholic, but nowadays I sort of explore other cultures and religons. Catholisism(sp?) was too strict for me. I guess I'm just a lazy person in spirituality =D
I was raised in a catholic religion. I believe in God and he believes in me, have seen it in the entire blessing I have received from him, I pray every day. I am not a church goer, I believed in doing good and give a helping hand to whom ever needs it instead of talking about it. So really don't know in which category I should fill in!
i was brought up with a very strict father that was a minster for the church of god, i DO NOT beieve that way any more, i have seen so much good in different religions and i feel that there is good in everyone, i dont have any of the beliefs that my father tried to instill in me. I am open minded about every religion out there these days.
yeh I relised at a young age that the religion i was raised in (Catholic) and told was the only real religion was not the be all and end all. i remember asking my mother if the buddists think they are right and the muslems believe they are right and so on how do we know who's really right? You should have seem her face ...absolute horror. that's what she gets for marrying an anglican! hahah. My Dad is much like myself. No belief in organized religion. Too many lives taken, hatred bred and evil done in the sake of one's relious belief's...How can the two walk hand in hand . Seems ludicris(sp) to me. I respect and honor any person's right to believe in whatever they need in there life...as long as it does no harm to others. I don't appreciate the ram rod approach of forcing one's religius beliefs down other people's throats. Shows a complete lack of respect for other people. a very ethnocentric view of the world....Gives me the shivers!
I personally believe in several different things from various religions. I never made to go to church (my family is Methodist), but did go to Sunday school until I was 5 with a neighbor. My parents felt that they weren't going to force us (my siblings and I) to go to church since their parents forced them to until they got married. I also believe that everyone has the right to believe in whatever they want with regards to religion. I haven't been to church since then because I just never felt I fitted in well.
What a sticky topic! last time this was brought up people QUIT CS!! LOL!!!
Was raised Presbytarian.....went to the Baptist for a while and then found the Penticostal church, Assemblies of God actually...not so tough on the no pants, no makeup, no cutting hair and no jewelry thing, THANK GOD! No pun intended!
I am happy and I know that this is the right place for me personally, but my family (The Presbyterians) call me a cult member...a Jesus Freak if you will. I am a Jesus Freak.....SO WHAT! Hell....I'm just a FREAK all togehter!! LOL!!!
I believe in religion and spirituality. Am a serious Christian due to my understanding that man is not only flesh and blood. The soul and spirit in man never die. So my motivation for accepting Christ and hoping for his promise of slavation is that if this my body is burried my soul and spirit are automatically ejected from my present place of abode; be it my own erected mansion or rented apartment. And where will my soul and spirit live and rest? The best place is in the arms of my creator who is spirit so I must be spiritual in order to approach him.
