Hi all,

I have learned a valuable lesson about tattooing a name on your body. Doesn't WASH off, when the relationship is over doh ...I mean I KNEW that, but guess I was young...and in love. Thankfully, it is really really small, and can be covered, very easily. Most don't even notice it, unless I point it out. My first tattoo, (my "middle aged crazy", as I call it) is on the back of my neck and covered by my hair. Is seen mostly in the summer months, when hair is pulled up. I would probably have alot more, if had alot of extra money. They are somewhat "addictive"

hey, i'd like to offer my own experience in the hopes that it may help someone when its their choice to may---have both of my kids initials tattooed on one hip(homemade job by an ex) and his middle name on the other (i know that was STUPID, BUT now that i'm raising his son who shares that name i'm okay with it) those i don't regret--i do regret the 3 "party dots" between my thumb and pointer. they embarass me to no end...as for piercings i had the ears done quite young then added a few extra holes in one of them and thought i was the onlyyyyyy person in the world who would ever decide to put a hole in the top part (funny how we think we are soooo bright when we are teenagers).Right before mothers day two yrs ago i let my then 15 yro talk me into letting her get her tongue pierced simply because i knew her well enough to know that no matter what i said she was determined and rather than let one of her friends possibly doing a hatchett job i took her myself. Then came the ultimate showdown which included something about mom being too scared to have hers done.... i now have a 2 yro tongue piercing and have to say i LOVE it. For some unknown reason it gives me a sense of accomplishment and daring and uniqueness that makes me well me,(which is exactly what i thought way back when when i was poking a hole in the top of ear...have i learned anything over the last 25 or so yrs?

Well, we are people of mystery, comfusion and mortality. We are not too bright at times. I have those moments of hmmmmm....do I or don't I? Most times, I don't. But not too many years earlier, I probably would have. I mean, after all. I do have those many holes in my ears, of which, now I only use a few of. I have yo admit that have fiven thought to other types of piercings, but so far......nada. As far as tattoos go; I have seriously given thought to at least one. But, haven't acted on it as of yet. But, being a compulsive creature, who knows? I think I hope not, but then why not? Typical....sometimes I wonder about myself.confused

Brave lady, you are. Not me...hum ummm. I'm a fraidy cat. My sons all have theirs done as well as a daughter in law. They all said they got some kind of short pain and a rush of sorts that went throughout their bodies.dunno

I was wanting one, but decided against it.

Welcome to the Okla forums. Will try to keep in touch. It is kinda hard running back and forth from here to the international forums. When this one kicks off, I will spend my time here.

If I was to ever get one in my face; it would have to be the one right next to my nose,(you know, that little indented place next to the nostril) with a little diamond or ruby.

Yup, you are right there. Piercings can be removed. Even the big ones grow back again.
