Run, run while you can. It's too late for us but if you can get out do it, these things don't go in a good direction.

Im sorry. "Canadian" and "war" together in the same sentence seems like a bit of an oxymoron.

Well in my opinion if Canada is already on the list of countries to be hit by Osama Bin Laden and we have lots of sleeper cells here in Canada then playing nice at this point and doing nothing about it won't get us anywhere....The sad part is that alot of people believe that by being nice somehow makes us immune to terrorism....Sorry doesn't work that way....These days being proactive is the only thing that works!!!!!!!!

the first casulity of war is the TRUTH and i dont see how bombing of men women and children a healthier place to live.its pretty hard to win peoples hearts and minds by bombing the hell out of them .lots of money to be made though by sensless destruction .war is big business no moneyfor starving but always for killing.

The Canadian war policy is as brave as the Swiss or the Swedish.

Dont declare war, just make sure that peace is attainable.

Shame that the British Govt doesnt take a leaf out of its Commonwealth neighbour's book.

Lets hear it for the Canuck!!!applause

Just a note: Al Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden have on separate web sites officially called for Canadian targets to be hit. That was 2 wks ago...shortly after, the huge fires at the gasoline processing plant in Ontario; not saying that they are related, just "noticeable" time wise. Targets to of course, include all gas, oil industries, basically anything related to destabilize the economy and trade with the US....I keep hearing part of a commercials song about..."you asked for it...To..yo..ta..or is it ...AL...Qa...eda...I wonder if any coffins returning from Kandahar will be draped with a Flag from Imperial ESSO... what a shame to have changed from Peace-keepers to War-Makers at worst, or Yankee lap-dogs at best...

A minor correction if I may:

In both major conflicts of the 20th century it was the US that joined Canada and the Commonwealth - we did not join "their wars".

Canada is not a yankee lap-dog. Cheap shot. If that were the case, we could say the same for every other country that is with him and even sleeping in his bed. Canada did not knee jerk and jump into the war as readily as one would believe. Despite being taken into a war no one wants, Canada still maintains it's Peace Keeping status and abilities and is still the priority.

It appears, from some news yesterday night, our Prime Minister has just commited to increase the military budget and again go after helicopters we had bought and paid millions of dollars for, but never got, and increase our presence overseas.
