Will it work. Someone in Ontario is starting a website boycottgas
that will take place in April. 2007.. I believed that prices were going down, not a chance. Are we willing to do something or let the oil companies rule. Lets hope not. There is going to be a rotation of oil companies from what I have read. thumbs up

It won't work. Besides, did the fact that this starts on April 1st escape everyones notice? The website claims that it is not a hoax but seriously, who's going to go for this?

What about putting less gas in the tank. Of course we all need gas to move our cars but i wonder since price is based on supply and demand, if we all didnt fill up and put less gas would that affect price????
just curious.

Do the math...put in less per fill and the frequency of visits to the pump increase. professor

The only way that one can reduce the amount of fuel consumed is to reduce the distance travelled. This is not nuclear physics folks. roll eyes

If every driver in the country were able to go an entire week without fueling up then the revenues for that week would be nil however, in the week following, everyone would have to fill up thereby offsetting the so called loss.

This concept of trying to force oil companies to lower prices is ill conceived and nothing short of ridiculous.

And that is all I have to say about that.

Ok boycott gas. The idea is to boycott certain oil companies, buy the gas yes but don't buy it at certain gas stations. Boycott one oil company. Please read the website thoroughly. It will work if
everyone applys themselves. keep in touch everyone. And please read the site. thanksapplause

i have heard this issue discussed on the news, the radio and on the internet.
Apparently, the concept of getting the oil companies attention is not so ridiculous as you say.
It is constantly being discussed. While not buying gas may not be the answer, we certainly need something done to keep the oil business in line.
What that is many of us dont know. Discussion never hurts.
