Haha, Illuminati conspiracy theory. I just wish there really was something as exciting as all that going on with the dollar bill.
Actually, they had a special on Discover Channel not too long ago about the founding fathers and the Mason connection. It went into the dollar bill a great deal, along with many other symbols used in the US.
So...discovery channel.com may hold the answer you are seeking....

I heard that it was put there,many years ago, that there,was an organization of men,called the Masonics.A government ran group.Ran the first money making corporation.They were called the Masons.Masonic Temple..They still do exsist in the country today. They have a Masonic Temple here in Seattle.
