I am no poet by any means at all
A song writer, yes, but no poet
It is not easy to put all of your feelings together and transfer then down in a logical order

Now recently, and he went out of his way to do this for me, by his own generous free will I might add

Offered to write me a poem about how I felt about Katie and he couldn't have gotten this more on the dot than he did.

So here it is...

Katie

She has possession of my heart
Indeed, she’s become my life
Katie lives within my soul
In a world that’s free from strife

I gaze upon her photograph
And see a lovely girl
But, she is much more beautiful
Her smile illuminates the world

I long to hold her in my arms
And tell her of my love
And say that’s she’s the answer
To the prayers, I’ve sent, Above

And that day, when first I kiss her
And hold her close to me
Is the day I start to live, once more
And when, the future starts for me..
