The mind is a powerful tool and the gist of what I'm on about is :-
SCENARIO
Two people in a relationship.
They are in love and building on the soul trip- they both smoke cigarettes.
This Mpause thing starts happening to the fairer of the species.
They work together through the cleansing effects
( e.g. Hot flushes etc)
(These Hot flushes etc physical they may be, also have a huge effect on the mind)
Add the withdrawal effects of smoking cigarettes as one of the cleansing effects.
In other words use cigarette withdrawal symptoms to distract the mind from the Mpause symptoms and vice versa

Uli... you one very intelligent thinking lady! THAT is one of the main ingredients for a Smooth transition during mid-life... hence its control and domination by pharmaceutical companies/politics. After all, if the Great Spirit Herself invented it, and it seeds itself, and doesnt rely on laboratories to process it, and its already agreed to be an excellent antidote for chronic pain, and a reliever of Asthma, and a cure for certain skin conditions.... Well, then, Why Dont We All Eat Tomatoes? 
PS..Hot Flushes are Power Surges, releasing the female from her child-bearing days, and preparing her for her New Role as an Elder of the Tribe.
Still he only mentioned the Cigarettes .. on that I can agree if the Tomatoes stay in the potty..
