Is everyone out there in CS Land happy where you are at, at this very moment? This could include career/job, education, physical state or even your emotional and mental well-being.

The flip-side of this is the question: Is anyone experiencing something like a mid-life crisis (or peri-menopause) where you might like to change just about everything at the same time?

I have other friends who are experiencing both sides of the coin and I wondered if it's because 2007 is just 'that kind of year'; if April 2007 is more like Caesar's "Ides of March"; or if it just is?

I'd be interested in all of your comments on this. Thanks. help

I would like to answer your question, by saying :

Most people will not recognize if they have issues to deal with, they put on a play,a show, even if happiness is not truly there.People that are genuinely happy? It depends on your definition of happiness.
Me,I am happy most of the time because I give 100% in everything I do.If you do this too, than you know what I am talking about. It is truly that simple.
There are still some goals I would like to a chive, not out of the need to show off to anybody but because they can make my life and other people around me ,better.peace

Hi Alberta, interesting take on the subject. I'm striving to meet a few more goals of my own too.

If people sincerely want and need a hand, count me in.

This year isn't too bad. Last year was one extremely trying year both mentally and emotionally. Like everyone else, I still have goals to achieve including career satisfaction, soul searching, travel, financial stability and relationships. At the moment there seems to be a lack of balance in my life, however, with the love and support of family and friends, this year is looking much more positive in comparison to last year.

yay cheers hug

Hmmm...that's an interesting question! Genereally, I am always happy and count my blessings for what I have, rather than chase the things I don't have. I am blessed with all the things I need in life...a wonderful family and group of friends...a full fridge and a full life...I am waiting to be blessed with true love, but that will come in time.

My career - I work to live, not the other way around, so I'm happy 'cause my bills are paid and well on the way to meeting my financial goals!

Physical - I want to lose 10 lbs before I have to pull out the summer clothes, which is a work in progress at the gym, but I'm generally happy with that and the rest of my physical being - except for the darned spring allergies!

Education - Don't have enough time to read anymore, so that's a bit of a pain! Education is an on-going lifetime process!

Emotionally and mentally - My heart's at another place! When my heart will get to there is the only question now. Waiting for fate to show it's hand on that front!

I'm not sure if it's a mid-life crisis or just another part of growing as a person, but it seems that a number of my friends and I are certainly processing where life goes from here. In my case, I have cared for others since I was 15 and still continue to do so at 44. I wonder when I will reach that point in my life, where I only have to think of what's best for me. Once our children become independent, then our parents are elderly and need to have us there for them. It does seem endless and overwhelming some days!

And that's my two cents....when I figure it out, I'll let you know! lol cheers

Have to say 2006 ended bad and 2007 started bad in a big way.
Had to move in the middle of winter with my daughter, but made the best of that, things turned out fine.
My first relationship after 7 yrso f being single fell through(THANK GOD FOR THAT!!!!I OWE U ONE!)
I lost my mom not long ago but I'm dealing with that in my own way and time.
Someone somewhere decided to stop raining on my parade a let me meet the man I've been looking for.
Things are looking up and I'm once again looking forward to making plans for the future and it feels real good.
So ,with the excepyion of the lose of my mom I can say yes,I'm happy and happier than I've been in a long time. angel

I am content where i am at with most aspects of my life.

Whats a mid life crisis?

Going deeper into your question about being happy.....Happiness in my opinion is not a dependency. You dont need anything to be happy. Its not something that comes from outside. So many people are focused on things, or possessions, money/jobs, relationships etc...The real aspect to happiness,, is it comes from inside. When you radiate a happy energy you'll be amazed what it attracts in your life.

Dont worry...be happy.

I had a "have-to" move vs. a want-to move also but glad things are looking up for you. Sorry to hear about your Mom.

I remember being at a crossroads like that last summer where I couldn't decide between Calg'ry or Saskabush.

What finally settled me here was the lower cost of housing. (Not having to work two full-time jobs!laugh)

I'm very happy with my life.

I'm independent, love my job, and very proud of my efforts and experiences.

I just know what type of person I am and know what I want in life and that does include someone I can connect with.

I am complete alone, but sharing is hard when there is only yourself to share with.

You know what I mean? I want someone that can share my life with, someone that can be there for the good, the bad and the undecided.
Would be awesome to meet someone that can walk next to me and be proud of what he has.
And VISA VERSA
