Welcome to the craziest place online!! There are good folks and funny folks and sad/angry folks--a real hodgepodge--but it's interesting and fun at times.As for meeting folks from here, I've met great people here and have made some good friends. I also met the man I've looked for all my life here.
A bit of unsolicited advice, though: Check out everyone you meet as much as possible. Meet them in a public place, and only after you are comfortable enough to exchange numbers and chat by phone a few times. I found that speaking by phone (after you're comfortable with someone through CS email) provides a more accurate picture, since they don't have time to edit their responses: call it the "candid factor."

i think it is another oprtion to meet people. some go to a bar, pub or disco. others find a date on a bus station or at work. and the ones who have a computer do this 
I ve never met someone yet. maybe bc i live too far away from the people i would like to meet and see face to face. but I am sure If i find the right guy, we are not going to have any problems bc of distance.
