You were asking the question 'why'. There are no real answers.
"When a particular thing happens to you , don't ask yourself why it is happening. 'Choose' why it is happening. 'Decide' why it is happening. If you can't choose or decide with intention, then 'make it all up'. You are anyway. You are making up all the reasons for doing things, or for why things are happening the way they are. Yet most of the time you are doing this unconsciously. Now make up your mind (and your life) consciously.
You'll find yourself confronted with many circumstances, situations, and developments in your life, some of which you may call unwelcome. The first thing that most people do in such moments is the last thing that you should do, which is to try to figure out what it all means.
In one way or another, people try to find meaning in the events and experiences of their lives. Yet the fact is that nothing has any meaning at all. There is no intrinsic truth hidden in the encounters and experiences of life. Who would hide it there? And why?
If it were there for you to discover, wouldn't it be much more efficient to make it obvious?
The fact is, there is no meaning to anything, save the meaning you give it.
Life is meaningless.
When a particular thing happens to you , don't ask yourself why it is happening. Choose why it is happening. Decide why it is happening. If you can't choose or decide with intention, then make it all up. You are anyway. You are making up all the reasons for doing things, or for why things are happening the way they are. Yet most of the time you are doing this unconsciously. Now make up your mind (and your life) consciously.
As long as 'WE' believe that we are separate from God (which is Life) there will always be 'conditions' as to who, what, where, how, when, and how we can so-call "Love".
As long as there is Life there is God which is eternal and so it is with Love.
Our 'beliefs' that we are separate from God is false and an illusion.
God is all Love and there are no conditions and no separation. We're all One.
So be kind to One Another. (Because when you are, you are kind to Yourself).
If I believe in that...truly, why would I have to sacrifice anything for it?
Wouldn't I just accept who they are as I would accept who I am?
Yes, I have made choices about my life in consideration of choosing what is in the best interest of my family. It felt like sacrifice but it really was a choice I made. I believe that choices offer expansion. Sacrifice - Lack. It's a matter of perception.
I've paid that much for pet vet bills. I have two cats and one I'm especially bonded with for whatever reason. Maybe to pay that much on our pets keeps spending on other things in some kind of perspective. If I spend that kind of money on my pets maybe I can be generous about money in other respects. Oh well, it works for me.
You were kind and helpful. (you did the right thing)
my auntie gives me a colouring book and crayons I begin to colour after a while auntie leans over and says you've gone over the lines what do you think they're there for eh? some kind of statement is it? going to be a rebel are we? your auntie gives you a lovely present and you have to go and ruin it I begin to cry my uncle gives me a hanky and some blank paper do some doggies of your own he says I begin to colour when I have done he looks over and says they are all very good he is lying only some of them are
(I don't classify this as 'religion' - I wish there was a 'philosophy' category.) Are there other 'souls' here that realize that what we are
experiencing here in 'this life' is an illusion we have chosen so
that we could know who we are?
As long as we imagine that we are separate from God, we will imagine that we are something other than what God is -- which is Life itself. We may think that we are that which lives, but we will not imagine ourselves to be Life itself.
We have created the illusion of Disunity in order to experience the reality of Oneness. Only when we are outside the reality can we experience it. When we are part of the Whole, we cannot experience ourselves 'as' the Whole, because there is nothing else. And, in the absence of that which we are not, that which we are, is not.
In the absence of cold, hot is not. In the absence of of tall, short is not. If everything is short, then nothing is short, because "short" does not exist as something that can be known. It may exist as a concept, but is is not a concept that you can directly experience. It can only be an idea, never your experienced reality.
It is our wish to know ourselves as Who We Really Are. Thus, we must first create the experience of Who We Are Not. Since we cannot experience in Ultimate Reality, we must do so through 'illusion'.
In this way we can experience Who We Really Are.
