What I find wonderful is that there is no desperation in my seeking. I truly feel at peace (well, most the time). I'm always looking for additional spiritual information to increase my passion for that part of my education. What's nice about that and somtimes frustrating, lol, - not often though - is that the way I see it, I will be searching forever.
There may have been some good things that came about your experience, though.
Learning a new language-amazing! Expressing yourself through poetry, quite wonderful! Expanding your boundaries to think about another life...with someone...unfamiliar thoughts but left you with knowledge. Scary, but now you are better armed with info.
Yes, I do think it's easier. Not a whole lot of risk involved. I find it to be informative, as well. You know, some threads are more interesting than others. I say, "Let 'em twirl".
I know I have to set limits or I can stay online longer than I intended. lol
A personal note from myself is that I find without the intimacy involved I'm MUCH more able to be objective about letting go if I need to.
Being on this site for a while I've made attachments as if people here are a sort of family. When someone leaves the site (or many), I do feel a loss. I don't find myself forgetting them, who they are. I can and do let go, though - because it's realistic to do so.
Emotional attachments are tricky. It seems that the healthiest way for me is to get to know someone face to face, and, even then, dating without the intimacy for a nice period of time allows me to make better choices without the heartbreak or feelings of strong attachment that comes with jumping right into things. Some people are better able to separate their feelings from the physical act than others. I have a feeling that women are more vulnerable to those attachments but, I could be wrong.
The internet dating arena is an interesting medium for us all to 'start' to get to know each other.

Car Wash For Peace
I'm so sick of all the news on T.V. All this fighting got me going crazy And someone wrote on my car "Please clean me" Now I know what I got to do. Listen everybody I'm talking to you.
Let's have a car wash for peace. There's trouble in the Middle East. There will be no more wars, Or dirty cars. Car wash for peace.
Just remember - We got to get together In the parking lot across from WalMart Supercenter Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Jews, C'mon all you Hindu dudes! Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!
Let's have a car wash for peace. There's trouble in the Middle East. Got to put down those guns, Pick up a sponge. Car wash for peace.
