Politics and religion are two very important aspects to consider when dating someone. Some couples date for months without even touching on those areas of poignant considerations. It's good to understand where people are coming from before it gets too serious and far into the relationship. These controversial points of view are what may cause divorces down the road. Why not find out now and understand just who we are.
We really don't have any control over what is said on the forum threads except the moderators. It seems to be falling on deaf ears. Personally, I think it's a good thing to express our views - we may learn something, hopefully. Heaven knows we all could use an education in what is really going on in the world. And then, It's really a matter of perception, isn't it................?
For a while I found that I was finding myself with computers. Almost one for every room. Silly, huh. Then I had an interest in having TV's everywhere. I even thought I'd like one in the bathroom, but I nixed that idea. lol Recently, I have wanted to have CD players around. Hope I stop it soon! Also, I have been buying BOOKS like they are going out of style. That's one I'll just slow down on. (need to read the ones I have, now)
I find it interesting how much we change over the years. I think there is a reflection in our surroundings and even in the friendships we choose to have.
It is peaceful here. I have two cats and a bird that are really wonderful pets for me. It's a beautiful day. There is a tree outside my window that is very pretty - green and full. It's like I live in a little birdhouse. Very cute. (I'm telling it like it is.) I'm surrounded by my favorite things such as books, music, grand piano, a guitar. The colors in my home are very neutral with accents of pastels - peach, cream, beige then a couple of colors of burgandy and forest green. I like my home clean and fresh. It's easy because it's small.
I've not been watching the tv lately. Have been reading a LOT. Very quiet and peaceful. I have quite a few good friends that have like-minded interests. Tell us about yourself.
I think our world consists of whatever our teeny, tiny little minds create. If their belief is in a scary world that might lead to hell and damnation that will be the reality for 'them'. If we believe in peace, joy, love and goodwill then that will be the reality.
If the mass consciousness believes in conflict then that is where we will head to.
I might say my concepts change with my 'consciousness'. I love it!! What I believe Jesus, (a teacher to us) was trying to tell us was that ... whatever he could do, we can do, if we have faith just as he. That we all are as powerful as he. And, the power is inside us not out 'there' somewhere. And, it not just for a limited 'few'. My concept = (God = pure energy + information) So, yes, I call all the energy around us forms of God.
Yes, I believe God is inside ALL of us. Our world is 'within'. Our paths are varied. Of course I have fears or I would be just as enlightened as the master teachers, Jesus, or Buddha, etc. Enlightened = informed. I accept your beliefs. Your beliefs resonate with you. Please accept mine. What I believe resonates with me.
I can not think of anything more vital and important than living in a land that offers freedom and independence.
Not only do I feel that I have that but I can have freedom of the things I want to believe in.
When I take charge of my own life and make my own way in it then I find that I have immeasurable joy. I have the understanding that I am a co-creator with God and that inside, within myself is the real world. I just project what I feel is real -outside 'there'.
I have good friends and if I wanted I could have the partner of my 'dreams'. It's all there for me. Right now I like my great independence and good life.
What do your surroundings look like? Just curious...
Convenient, sounds like you keep pretty busy.
