Mother Theresa tops my list. She was the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize.
She worked selflessly for 50 years helping the poor. She helped those who were ready to die whether they were dying of Leprosy or Aids. She was one of the greatest living saints of our time.
I don't have to fight or defend what I believe in. It's really nobody's business.
I believe it's crude for anyone to pray for an athiest if they don't have a belief in a higher power. An athiest has a right to their own thoughts and beliefs. We all have free will to pick and choose how to believe and live.
If you want to be noble -- live your own life as as good person and stop trying to exert your will on other people. It just won't work anyway. Are we wanting more mini-wars over this?
Maybe by your silent example the world will be a better place instead of stomping and shouting and demanding that all people believe as you do.
* please stop demanding that people are going to go to Hell if they think differently. Thats passe'. lol
Best wishes, we know you are sincere. You did put the question out there. Let it go, and believe that you will get results. Hope you get your job soon.
Has anyone thought about improving themselves....? Then, offering a potential friend (to start with) happiness, joy, goodwill?
Be something..., then offer something good. Stop complaining.
Look for a match like someone friendly and good, instead of trying to fix up a 'sad' soul who needs to fix themself. Don't worry, they will find a match for themself.
I also feel that if the relationship requires too much working on then it probably isn't a match. I've spent entire weekends 'trying' with my 'love' to have these 'global' discussions. Ended up feeling entirely exhausted and nothing being sorted out. Truly was a waste of time. Anything taking that much effort needs rethinking- quickly.
RE: Is Religion important in the life.
Eternity is now.pretty long, eh?
(Just before now is gone, I guess,
and the next moment is the future which I don't think is here
yet.)
