Distance is biggest problem. Usually the one that catches your eye is on a whole different continent.
But several weeks ago we had a nearly a dozen people meeting up and checking each other out. What happened to these people I don't know.
But it was getting very lovey Dovey in the threads to the point of sickening.

Other than the travel part of meeting, I think a lot of people are nervous about being rejected.
This is not like meeting in person first and THEN asking to spend time together.
It's much more risky since the perception may be different than the reality.
There have been group gatherings on this site. And I believe the results were enjoyable but not as expected

i think ur right dragondog4.I went 400 miles to meet a guy last yr who I had talked to for 5 yrs.Many phone conversations too.after we met he called me and said his truck was broke down in NM and he needed 4000 and wouls i loan it to him.I did
