Yes, I agree with Marti, this is only a way to get to know people. Falling in love happens somewhere else. I`ve met lots of people from the internet, and they werent people I felt any click click with... they just ordinary, in the street sorts.
Actually, thinking about it, maybe all of us here, on this site, are deep down loners? Maybe we dont want to actually fall in love? We just think we do....! We just been brainwashed by society that we gotta have a partner? I wish I felt complete, being alone, and then I could invest this time on something more constructive than mere wishful thinking! Like writing a best selling novel, and being so filthy rich, I can then be happy in my lonesomeness... driving my pink Ferarri around with my dog in the passenger seat, and buying me and my dog a beer on the pub verandah, and going swimming with my dog in the Rhine, and walking together thru the forest, peeing on all the trees! But somehow, a Human man seems like a better companion than my dog..... at least he wont have to be de-flead, and he will be allowed to answer me when I talk to him.

I can't see why I cannot ride in the passenger seat of your pink Ferrari.....what a choice of colour! Mine is red, and looks better I think...at least that's what people tell me.
I see no problem either walking with you in the woods and forests, but cannot see how I can beat your dog peeing with every tree. Never had that much need to release that fluid from my body!
Coming to think of it, being completely de fleed, I would make an interesting alternative.
Seeing that I talk too, I could be an inspiration to your novel, on one condition though, that we split the income 50-50.

I have no idea about falling in love online..but would guess that it is the "click" which sets the scene for "falling in love" ie meeting in the flesh.
I took to the internet because this way I can talk to english speaking people..if I want catalan speakers I can go outside...but its great to have found this place.

hi beanes i guess you're right because yes it can happen that you meet someone for a coffee & chat. Then if you get on well...who knows!! By the way i've been to Catalunya..lovely place but prob with the language i'm afraid.
Sorry to hi-jack this thread, but these things have a way of gettiing completely out of control somehow..... "Found your love" has led to "peeing on trees".....way to go!
About the pink Ferarri..... I explained all this last year, to the oldies here, about how difficult it was to find one in Pink, with Fake Leopard skin Seat covers....... and then Freeze found one for me, from one of her rich cruising customers on the Liner she works on.... seems just because he had more money than I have, Ferarri were willing deviate from their usual boring Red/Black/White/Blue, and to do the seat covers... they wanted to do Original Leopard fur, but as both me and this rich guy Freeze knows belong to Greenpeace that is not allowed, and so he managed to convince them to go Fake... would save a lot of bloodshed. He had ordered it for his wife, but they got divorced before the Ferarri was finished, so he gave her his Aston Martin instead, and sold me the Ferarri.
If I had a nice companion, me and my dog could forego the peeing on trees in the forest, as we would have someone to talk to..... and I dont imagine you would appreciate being sprayed with "FleaDead", it is rather pungent and you cant bath for 2 weeks until its absorbed into your bloodstream and hair folicles.
I never split my novel profits with anyone! Unless they happen to be the Sole Inspiration of my writing... then maybe I would treat them to a couple beers at the local.
