OK all you US GUYS- got to explain-IM NOT bashing America or its people !! This wasnt actually written by me, and its a bit of tongue in cheek Humour, It was written by an ex Monty Pythoon guy called John Cleese, and was a bit of a parody on the US.
ITS not MY thoughts at all- but I can see by the response it has made a few hairs on the neck bristle-
If that is the case I apologise deeply, NO offence intended at all-
I actually love the USA and all its people - been there many many times in fact to over 28 states, and was even lving there for a while.
It was just a light hearted bit of fun , and yep we dont have a car industry- I agree, and yep we have some strange ways, BUT you guys have some too- OK ?
I'm not sure what you're talkin' about my friend? I must have missed that thread? Can you point me to it? And, I'm sure that you didn't mean anything by it! I very seldom take ANYTHING seriously! I'm one of the biggest "cut-ups",you're likely to meet!Heck fire I'm always pokin' at folks with a stick!

Thanks Farmer- youd be amazed how many Yanks love Cleese and Monty Python, - suprised it went down like a lead balloon to some people- Oh well got a few hackles up and to be perfectly honest if they dont see a joke coming they have a pretty mundane attitude Enough said
I am sure there is not need to apologise, matey!! Mine was a little tongue-in-cheek also. No matter how carefully you try to word things, its still open to interpretation to a degree....??
And yes, us Brits do have some strange ways, I guess. We like to think of ourselves as "eccentric" but that's only if one has money......... otherwise, one's just plain crazy!! Tee hee....

well Dandy, if i thought you meant it I would have said so - and your right - interpretation is sometimes a thing that depends on your outlook in life, and as for being eccentric- I probably am too and Im filthy rich as well - SO maybe Im eccentrically crazy
