You keep hearing that saying "There is a person out there for everyone"..I'm starting to think that saying does not exist anymore, or is it just easier for the ones that don't even want a relationship and even harder for the ones that actually do??

I don't know but somethings happen for a reason..LOL, some of us don't want to hear the reasons...Well I just thought I would put my thoughts out there and see what happens...

confused dunno

Really don't know? We would all like to think so. It is sooo easy to get discouraged. I guess it is a matter of luck, because I see couples out there that seem to have it all. Most likely, they have problems also. The problem with us women, are all the fairy tales we fell in love with as children. We want a prince who worships us. Someone who would die for us. Example, my favorite movie is Robin Hood with Kevin Costner. Hey, we..most likely..will never find that, but we will always be yearning for it. Just part of being a woman. I am one of the ones who are not looking for serious. But still would like to find that "one" someday.

I have struck out sooooo many times of late.... I just don't believe it.... a Business Mentor I once knew ( he's passed some time ago ) used to say before he was married... " the one for me hasn't been born yet... " .... I hate to say this... but I feel the same way....

I don't believe any more... if it happens... great... if not... whatever.... It just gets old after a while....

Now I gotta find something else to occupy myself with....

Well, it's about the same as people who say----MONEY CAN"T BUY HAPPINESS. Maybe not, but i'd rather have money and be unhappy, than be unhappy without money.
laugh The only old saying I beleive in, is LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT>
But some of us , including me, don't ever get it right, so we just keep trying. Hang in there, you could be the big winner.comfort

Well, I hate to disagree, but I know I would rather be happy than have money. Side effect of growing up poor? Who knows?

But really what is the point of having most of what you desire when you don't have the love that everyone ultimately is looking for? I don't believe anyone can be truly happy without love. Some people may be content with the love of a good friend or their children, but love still needs to be present.

Personally, I will never be completely happy till I have someone who loves me as much as I love them...someone who I can make good memories with, someone who will be there for me when I need them the most, who will support me in all that I do (whether they agree with me or not), but mostly someone who will miss me when I am gone.

Yes...me and my fairytales, lol. I won't let it go, this will forever be a part of me. It's ok, I am used to being disappointed. I don't ever actually expect to find this. What you want and what you get are hardly ever the same thing.

I strongly believe that there is that special person out there for someone. Unfortunetly, alot of times people are to impatient to wait for the right ones. First off, you have to be the right person for you to attract really good people. Second , To many times people rush into relationships with their emotions instead of their wisdom. You have to know what type of person that you are looking for. Alot of people settle for less in a relationship, because they don't want to be lonely. We have to wait it out. I am a Christian woman and God has so many promises in the bible for us, even for relationships. But, it is by faith we will find those loved ones that we wish for. angel Cheering you all oncheering

truth is, I don't think anyone is really looking on this site. There are so many in Florida, but this Florida room is always empty.I gave up coming in here because there was only the same three people.

Floridians can be found in the international threads, but they don't post in the florida threadsconfused Why?
Then I met someone in here, but whiols making arrangements to go visit her....she disappeared.

I can only come to the conclusion, that the people in Florida are really not interested in meetingdoh

I haven't been that luck over the last few years but I am starting over and trying different things to see if things change for me.

I think the more people I can talk to, then the better chance I'll have of hitting it off with someone and then meeting them in person.

Then the more people I meet, the more comfortable I'll get in the dating scene again.

I do believe though that there is somebody for everbody, its a matter of being persistent and seeing enough people so you have the chance to pick that one person that you have a strong interest in.

For me its always been more about a womans character then the looks but there does have to be a spark though.

So the more women I can see then the better chance of a spark happening. thumbs up

Of course this is just one mans opinion and my way of handling the situation.

Someone that I can share my goals and dreams with, and share in her goals and dreams too.

Ah well... one can dream.....daydream lightbulb
