That would have to be some big dice. The chances of getting Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD) is almost zero. There are about 200 cases in the U.S. per year and there is still no definite link between CJD and Mad Cow Disease (BSE). Looking at the statistical distribution I would say it's rather unlikely that they are connected. You have better odds to choke to death on a bite of beef than contract CJD.
I can say that I eat both... I enjoy meat and the less it is cooked, the more I like it! (my favourite is our famous Steack Tartare...Yummi!!) But I like also vegetables and I eat a lot of it, steamed is the better! (my favourite are Broccoli and Spinach)
I just acquired a taste for vegetarian foods mainly to heal my ulcers. No alcholic beverages, but I drink way too much black coffee and smoke.
Ever since I changed my diet, I've had a noticeable improvement in my stomach and intestinal tract. Internal bleeding is was like one of the most horrific experiences I've ever had.
I make my own special "fusion-style" minnestrone soup with extra carrots, tofu, nori, and whole-wheat tortillas on the side.
I'll never give up the black coffee and cigarettes. I still have my daily intake of them however much I want, regardless of my condition. I guess that's part of the equation as to why I have what I have. The other part mostly being that I am prone to getting scratches and scrapes from my current place of employment. I must've contracted a high H-pylori bacteria count somehow that way. And also mainly, to my poor eating habits. I never have breakfast or lunch and dinner is usually the only meal of the day for me. I don't think my body was meant or designed to take a large influx of food at one time which I am now realizing and eat small healthy snacks in between.
