This is not a universal trend but a growing one. I know women like this and one particular one who I loved with a passion, broke my heart, left me, and went for the man who could give her the high-end lifestyle. And I am seeing this happen in the world around me more and more. Not all women are like this but a growing number are. 
I am certainly not a gold digger. Money is not everything in life. True & unconditional love, is where its at for me.
I am also not a gold digger. If i was i would have gone after spousal support. But i didn't.
I rather go work for 8 hours then spend an hour shopping. I hate shopping and if i could get away with NEVER having to shop again i would!
I am not someone who wastes money since i have learned to live with very little. And we are doing good.
If i was to meet a man who was so poor he couldn't even afford to live in an apartment of the cheapest kind but yet he had all the qualities i look for in a partner i would not hesitate to start a relationship with that person.
Sometimes the poor people have more character and are more honest then any rich dude.
So no gold digger here. Never have been nor will i ever be!
