I would like everyone to take a moment and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice on this day in 1944. Canadian soldiers along with American, British and many more, landed on the beaches of Normandy.

If you see a soldier today - make sure you say THANK YOU! yay

I applaud the Americans who fought on the beaches of Normandy, as well as the ANZAC troops who fought beside them. If it weren't for their sacrifices on that bloody day, all of us would be speaking German, and have a Shinto altar in our homes.

To those who died for freedom, I salute you!

My father-in-law parachuted in that day. He returned home and lived a long life but is gone now. Bless him for his sacrifices. He live his life with bad feet from frozen toes he received during his time in Normandy.

AIRBORNE!!! I was in the 82nd Arbn. Division, and met alot of the old timers that jumped in on D-day. God Bless them all, they are some of the most courageous men that ever walked the earth.
