ymer3ii don't listen to these "guys" that will not get you in her good books!

Be you, relax, enjoy the company, don't dwell on one subject to long unless both have fun discussing it. But mostly be who you are and don't pretend to be someone your not.
Be open, honest and considerate and see where it will go. Don't push or force it then it will not work.
I wish you luck!

Sorry if we've ruined the thred. The ladies would be best for answering to this but alot had probably gotten scared away.

Just some general stuff:

There is nothing wrong with going over several typical icebreakers prior to the date to keep the conversation flowing. Contemplate more serious topics prior to your date. If you've met or spoken to her before, pick up a previous topic. Avoid things like politics and religion etc, any heavy subjects that are very debatable. Not talking about ex's has already been mentioned, if asked keep it brief.

Guys like to talk more than the ladies, well on a date anyway, I think, lol been awhile. Women are better listeners. People usually love to talk about themselves so ask questions that allow her to do this. Make sure you allow her to get her points across, this is important and will help you later on. If she ever interrupts, allow her to do so. The point to all this is you want it to be good conversation, gain more knowledge about her, and so the conversation doesn't dry up during the date.

Put some effort into your appearance, shave, ironed shirt etc. Wear something smart, not the stuff you do every day. LOL Women have a keen eye for shoes, so make sure yours are polished. Make sure you smell nice without drowning yourself in after shave.

In my opinion for a first date it is best to arrange a shorter date, such as lunch or coffee. An activity based first date can also be good too, and help in the conversation end of things. Don't plan a too adventurous date unless you know her well already. It's not a bad idea to have something planned after the date so that you have an excuse to leave, just in case conversation isn't flowing etc.
dunno

Be honest and open. Woman really do like that. And if there is no interest there than dam be a man and say so. If anything, respect the person and let them know up front so they don't get mixed signals.
