Have any of you ever come across this situation in life that you had a real crush on one of your friends partners? I was in the perdicament when I felt I had a crush on one of my best friends girl friends and she was and I guess you can say still is the type of women I want to be with. They were seeing each other for 5 1/2 years until they broke up in February. Now I can't tell you what happened between them exactly, but my other friends and I all agree that he didn't want to commit to a long term relationship anymore and she kind of pressed the issue of wanting him to get a ring. I know if I had someone like her I wouldn't let her slip away and I think he made the wrong move, but now he's happy being single and she moved on and she's seeing someone else now. I just didn't think it would've been a good idea for me to be anything more then friends with her after they broke up. So anyone have a simialr situation to that?

I am presently seeing my best friend from high school's ex-boyfriend.They dated 19 yrs. ago & we all hung around together.Back then I would never have thought about stepping on her toes,so to speak.I ran into him again about 2 years ago on another dating site.It turned out that he & my brother are good friends & have been for about 4 yrs. now.It took him about a year to get up enough nerve to ask me out.We've been together for 9 months now.I couldn't have asked for a better guy.He's everything I've always dreamt about & more.A big plus is that both my kids love him.My son(14) just asked him why I didn't have a ring yet.Darn those boys.
By the way my friend from high school does know we are dating & she has no problem with it.

That's pretty much how I feel, I don't want to stab someone in the back and I just don't think there's been enough time at the4 moment, besides she's seeing someone now anyway. But there's always hope I guess or I'll meet someone very similar to her which is possible too.
