This is quite amusing. I actually had this discussion with a friend very recently.
1)Maturity 2)Not wanting to be a sugar momma
there are two....I'm sure there can be more added.I know everybody is not the same but all other things being equal it just seems to me that older men are more on the same page as I am.
You really should not classify all women. I know I am not the only woman who is attracted to younger men. But I am not looking to date. Why do you want to date someone older?
Well, my personal opinion, as a woman in my forties, why I don't prefer men who are too much younger than me is because realistically, I feel intimidated in a way. It's not because of insecurity or anything like that, it's because I feel that it's not fair in a way to a man who is younger (five years or more). Having children is one of my stronger issues with it being that I am at the age where it could be extremely risky. Therefore having children with me would almost be out of the question, unless adoption is an alternative. Also, since I've been "around the block" so to speak prefer someone who is on the same level, close to my age along with being intellectually, financially and emotionally about the same as myself. I'm not speaking for everyone, just myself and I certainly do realize that some younger men would fit into the same catagory as I am, but I guess that intimidation just kind of turns me off to the idea.
My most recent relationship was with a 31-year-old. Having an 8-year age difference never really seemed like an issue to us, only to her friends. We did have a lot in common that age has nothing to do with, so I'm sure it helped. I always try to make people around me laugh, and I guess women like to laugh. If you can be funny without being immature I guess it helps. I don't know any magic spell to make older women like you, but if you can give details about the roadblocks that make the woman not interested, maybe I can be of help.
I'm not the same person i was when i was younger or even 5yrs ago. I've changed how i view things, what i'm looking for in a relationship and even how i look at myself. I need someone who's had the same chance to evolve and i think that comes with age and experience. I also can't have anymore kids and i'm not even sure i would want to start over again with that by adopting either. If a man already has young children, that's fine and i would love them as my own but i guess that's what makes it doable to me...they wouldn't be my own.
I dont see dating older women as a problem, I mean out of the women I have dated 90% have been anywhere from 8 to 15 years older than me, I enjoy an older woman perspective achivements and experience...but find that they can be very stubborn and often set in their ways...with a younger woman, I appreciate their will to strive and achieve, their goals, and their energy, but with a younger woman, you can run into an unstable battle field, because alot of the time they will plow out anything that does not fit in their desire or their standards that theyu have preconcieved coming into adulthood...I love em both and would take either equally! Jerome
I like older guys because then know what they want and where they are headed. usually. but i have found younger guys attractive and gone out with them but never really clicked. they still want to party and that isn't my idea of a good thing at least not all the time.
You got that right, I had my fun whoopin it up week in and week out, its allright here and there now, but I dont want to revolve my life around it............
i'm sure you can whip them into shape alex. LMFAO. my new guy hasn't even kissed me yet. 8 or 9 dates .perfect gentleman. and i am not usually so demure, the frustration is building and i warned him i may hurt him.lol.guess i'm doing it right this time, friends first then work toward more. DAMN IT I WANT MORE RIGHT NOW!!!
I enjoy being around both younger and older men. My ex-husband was 12 years younger than me and we had no problem with the variation in age. It was his personality that I did not like...he was too clingy and possessive.
