Well, i believe that aliens are already here. UFO's are spotted daily around the world, of course a lot of them can be explained but only one out of the many thousands of reported sightings, many from airline pilots and members of the armed forces (people you trust you life with everyday!!!), needs to be an alien craft for there to be proof that life exists elsewhere and is here visiting us here on Earth.
Why don't they come along for a chat? Well there are also many thousands of reported abduction cases.... and also some whistleblowers that have come forward to say that the US government and others have ahd contact with aliens.
But why not come and land a spaceship on the lawn of the white house? Well, we should look at ourselves and how we study we tend to let nature take it's course and watch from a distance. Perhaps once humanity reaches a higher level of enlightenment alien beings would feel contact with us would be appropiate...

Hmmm... If it's true that they've been here for a while - and I'm not dismissing that possibility - then they wouldn't really be aliens anymore, would they? I mean, it'd be kinda' like someone from Canada or the U.K. moving to the states; Sure you're from "somewhere else," but once you've been here for a while, you assimilate...
Or what if (and I know I'm going to catch hell for this - relax, I'm being facetious!) But... What if the flying saucers DID land and Mexicans got out? Would that make them alien aliens?
I guess maybe my world is a little too small, (or maybe it's a little too big) but, as much fun as it is to think about, it's nothing I'm willing to probe into in any great depth or lose any sleep over; I've got a garden to tend and fish to catch and sunrises to enjoy - Fewer now, than I had 20 years ago, but more than I'll have 10 or 20 years from now - Like Leo said, "Life is finite." - If/when they land and/or make themselves known, I'll welcome them if they are friendly or take appropriate actions if they're un-friendly.
