lol i think you are right. maybe he works for a charity and thats why he wants the money?? that's not a bad thing!

but if he is simply a gold digger (can that phrase be used for men?) and only with you for your money then i'd get rid!

You can turn the tables...call him & ask him for money.
Make up some excuse like your short on rent & need an extra 200 bucks.
See how he reacts.
He's likely to not stay your friend & your likely know his deal.

I say no once and then, if pressed, say "no is a short word...which part didn't you get, the n or the o?"
