Yes lol he is doin time for drugs he took the blame for his m8 becuase his m8 had a kid at the time who was only few months old so that why he did his m8 put the guilt trip on him,

I don't know about the UK but in America, prisoners almost never admit to committing a crime. I hope your friend isn't going alone.

god she out of her mind i have a mate like her she just won't listen to any thing any one says where men are concern.
there always a risk meeting any one for the first time.More of a risk in a strange country with a guy who been in prison how the hell does she know what he was in for any way.

Being from the states and not wanting to be involved with anyone thats done time for drugs or anything else for that matter.... Once they have been in the system then they pretty much stay in the system... tell her to run and run fast.

Well, we all make mistakes and most do learn from them. Personally, I would run and run far from someone who has done "time" for drugs, I think. But then, I've never had to make that sort of decision before.
As far as your friend, venturing from Ireland to the USA, she will do what she wants to do in the end. People who ask for advice, generally don't need it and those that do need it, generally don't want it. What I would suggest is that she puts into place, her own safety net in case things goes wrong for her. Even I did that last year when I traveled from the US to the UK, even though I was going to a widowed friend's home and knew her from support groups, I still had my own safety net. I had just enough friends in the UK who knew where I was going and my reasons. Oh the other hand, I was offering my friend, her own safety net for she was also planning a trip to the US, to meet a guy. In the end, she did cancel that trip. However, she has now moved to the US, the last I heard.
What I'm really saying is be supportive of your friend. Help her to build that "safety net". She may not apprecaite your concern now but will if she ever has to use it. She sounds young and stubborn. Not all the men in the US are bad but there are some "red flags" in this particular situation.

She needs to know these things, is he in for Physical violence?, is he a blue collar crime sort( men who commit paper crimes), Is he in for Homicide?, any type of battery ?
She needs to know, and how long has he been inside?
All these are factors as to how safe she will be.
Most men in Prison in America save the paper crime sorts are pretty brutal and violent Individuals.
You may want to caution her and have her look into this further before she Wastes he money coming over, unless she just wants to see our country , then IM sure some nice guy from here would be her tour guide.

Well, if his friend can't be accountable and he takes the rap for it....maybe this guy isn't very smart. I do agree though, many prisoners change the facts to make them look better....denial is prevalent.....sounds too risky to me.....
