I had shark steaks before. They actually sell them here in the grocery store. I didn't find them rubbery, rather the consistency of tuna. Maybe they served you shark intestines..lol

I once, inadvertently, ate horse meat, a little tough but tasty.
Island living makes fish like shark and barracuda commonplace on the menu...if you have never had it barracuda is delicious baked. Delicate and beautifully flavoured.
Of course I have eaten 'mountain chicken' (frogs) and snake meat. Flavour depends on what they eat...it doesn't all taste like chicken.
Yeah, it was pretty good. That's the good thing about the internet. I order a lot of stuff online, including food. You can get much better products than at most local stores. I found an exotic meat shop up in Alaska and will definitely order something from them in the future since they also sell online.

Never had rattlesnake...python, anaconda. Probably all different. Actually I hadn't seen your post before I posted so I cracked up laughing when I read it.
Yeah the Yuk factor has to be passed as well, A lot of people have issues with hunting and killing an Elk or deer then cleaning it, there is a nasty gamey smell . Some people can't eat it after the kill it and clean it
my ex-husband used to hunt. the first time he brought in a deer leg for me to cut up, i said what do you want me to do with this? i buy my meat wrapped in celephane!
