good thread mate! i think we all need to start doing something to save our planet, as global warming is becoming more prevelant in our lives, our children are the ones that are trully going to suffer in all of this, and something needs to be done.

No thanks, I don't believe in hybrids. But, walking would solve a lot of the problems with gas being too expensive, as well as help the earth.

it charges on its own...battery and if you do run out of gas you have the battery for awhile...not sure how many mi thou have to look that up...

And that's what I'm hoping to do, too, in time. My car is older and very tired. Am considering not replacing it and finding alternative ways of getting around town, although the downside is that the bus service here is horrible and doesn't get people to jobs on time, so...there has to be another way.

yea but it uses enery to charge the battery ,and di=oesnt use bio fuel ,if ya really wana leave a smaller carbon footprint ,car share,use public transport or even a desil with the ability to run on sun flower oils ,but hey any car stateside that doesnt run a V8 is a start...........
