RE: Charity and community issues

As you said, one must focus. I believe that the basics of survival for our species need be addressed first. Air, water, food, safety, medical... FOR ALL OF US!

We are ALL, in this together!handshake

RE: Dog Accessories vs Human Poverty

Info from Conrad73 about a small, inexpensive and relativly easy to ship, water purification tool.

Also a group helping to provide drinkable water to greater numbers of the human species: achildsright.org or similar groups with a ratio of help to administation of over 85/15.

HUGE government GIVEAWAYS from the PEOPLE'S treasury to the already very wealthy only makes things worse. THAT IS NOT CAPITOLISM!doh

RE: Dog Accessories vs Human Poverty

Thank you Rose! For all that you do and for sharing it with the thoughtful folks here.

We are all in this together, our planet is small. The greed that consumes a very few of us is ever hungry for more; there will never be enough resources to satisfy it.

Humanity's basic resources like breathable AIR, drinkable WATER and edible food can be kept usable AND, can be made available to us ALL!

Write to our "electeds," rattle their fine office doors! Make our voices heard!

RE: who are the luckiest people on planet earth ? and why ?

confused So Gilly, do you feel lucky today? Well, do ya? You are the luckiest person on earth, right now!

RE: No reason to pretend

I'm fresh from a "Human Communications" class. (Earned an A) According to our text, "Understanding Human Communication" 10th ed. Alder & Rodman. "Too much communication is not always beneficial," they are speaking directly to your question. There is extensive material there on using "Equivocations," "White-lies" and such in perfecly ethical and moral ways.

Not the way most people mislead, but there are certainly times when no communication is best for all concerned.

Have to go now to the naked Solstice Parade in Freemont, Seattle. The locals there call it: "the center of the known universe."

RE: No reason to pretend

Thanks man! I've been really busy with school. If the Mars stuff is too mind-blowing for the forums, maybe on blog? Whenever you get around to it, I look forward to reading your thoughts. I have a good friend who is from Eskitunia(spelling!!)Sweden. She and I spent weeks near Garberville, among the gentle giants.

RE: No reason to pretend

You parked the Big-Rig? How do like the change? Good for you. Go girl.cheering

RE: No reason to pretend

Hi everyone. Hi StressFree. Did you ever post your thoughts on research that you've done concerning Mars? Been wanting to read that.

Do you miss the Redwoods? I could really love to walk through them and drink up their energy gifts again, sooner than later.

RE: Kiss

Great question sweetie! You are fortunate to have such great examples of how fulfilling and long-lived love can be. I think that it is something we can simply choose to do, to love someone.

I think it also helps to know that the "grass is not always greener-[on the other side of the hill]."

The loving couples you describe know the elusive secret to happiness... loving what you have~

RE: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRISH123!!!

teddybear Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you!

RE: The Oldest Car

Yes! You spent your automobile dollars well Sir!!

Good one!

RE: The Oldest Car

Have a 1969 El Camino. Black on black, SS-Clone [Was born a 350/350 Malibu] Only my 2nd car, bought it in '78.

Have a rare, stock, 1974 Formula-350, black on black, factory 4-speed-[the really rare part] Fun production car! Pontiac.

Can't forget the "Scoobie-Van", a 1978 Dodge Conversion van, sky blue, like a small hotel-room on wheels, plus, it will tow my jeep!

RE: The Oldest Car

Beautiful ride Nick!

What was I thinkin'! When I saw the photo, just knew there is a 390 there, huh?

RE: The Oldest Car

I certainly hope and advise that you keep it!

RE: The Oldest Car

Project now.

Lookin' for fenders, grill, windsheild. Hood is fiberglas and tore free, so it may still be good.

Can't wait to start it. Built, small-block chev V-8, ran sweet. Think it is fine, but want to hear it run!

RE: The Oldest Car

Did a front flip in the street with it just 3 weeks ago [don't ask, please]

[Broke my arm, jaw and a rear tooth] Have been a hurtin' unit.

Jeep's front fenders crushed and a rough triangulation of the grill and radiator. Roll cage looks un-bent. Think the engine should be fine, it must have died before the oil left. Don't remember the crash, woke up in the Trauma Center.

RE: The Oldest Car

Well everybody, great car thread!

Guess my oldest is the flatfender in the photo. 1952 Military Jeep.

RE: The Oldest Car

Sure! Please do, great car.

Small block V-8 or 390? 4-speed I'd guess.

RE: The Oldest Car

Can she go hard-top or convertable?

I like the windows in the side of the top. They are portholes in a ship.

RE: The Oldest Car

Good for you man!

What a labor of love that can be.

Perfect colors to, would really like to see photos.

RE: The Oldest Car

My first ride was a 1954, Chev Pick-Up.

RE: The Oldest Car

Nice car man! Sweet, very classic looks.

Which color is she?

RE: Would You Do This For Me???

Thank you!

Anyone can be a part of it. 2 hours here, an hour there. Should also become a great part-time job, for anyone, anywhere.

Need research and grant-writing talents now. Am reaching out, but it is just me so far. Think I've found the Office Manager at my school.

RE: Men Do Cry???????????????????

Hi all. I've read none of the posts here. But, when your emotions are too much for your body to hold in, the energy weeps out through your eyes.

Makes no difference which equipment rests between your thighs.

Holding it back is harmful to the holder. Just let it flow, you will feel better afterwards.

RE: Would You Do This For Me???

Not really, was too unconscious for that!

But the aftermath of thinking caused me to reorganize my goals, "if not now, when?"

Am starting a new global corp, not-for-profit, "Family Home"-"Casa Familia." To buy repos, fix them and sell them to homeowners that would not normally be able to buy. Very inclusive, each contributor will have a stake in the company.

RE: Would You Do This For Me???

Hi Claayer, I've missed your wit!

Almost had my light extinguished on the 30th of Jan. Rolled my flatfender jeep and was ejected and rolled over, damn! Was close, woke up in the trauma center.

Still trying to recover, getting stonger all the time.doh

RE: Would You Do This For Me???

Go for it Mister!

If I can send any suitable shipmates your way, I will!peace

RE: Say Something To Someone OR Don't...Names or No Names OR Don't

HiYa Claayer, hope you are well. Missed your wit...

bienvenido, belleza.

RE: Weed and Women?

Yes, sacrament. Overdoing is simply a waste.cheering

RE: Good Luck America !

Thanks Trish!

Am happy to have lived through it. Really caused me to re-examine my goals. Am starting a new, not-for-profit corperation, named "Family Home" having to do with sustainable human habitation, anywhere. Plan to buy repo homes, fix them and get homeowners into them that would not normally be able to afford it.

Very inclusive, profit sharing for anyone involved, as little as 2 hours per week employment. Will start right here but plan to go global.

I've done a few for myself over the years and have 25 years construction experience, resigned from the Carpenters Union in '04 with my last job as a Project Superintendent.
