It seems to me theres a lot of hope pinned on him, one or two things against but all in all, he looks like he will uphold this ethic of honesty which has endeared him to millions - I really hope so!

I'm not a supporter of Obama,I remain optomistic though. But what I don't understand is this......
Obama has proclaimed "Change". He has based his campaign on the fact that he will bring about much needed change. But I've not heard anything in particular and specific that he plans to change. He has essentially said he would change every major aspect of our country....taxes, education, healthcare, welfare etc, but I, personally have no clue what his plan is for each of these. Is that info out there or have we been manipulated into putting yet another self absorbed, career politician in office?

I was listening to some of the speeches he was giving on the train journey yesterday and he seemed to be saying that amongst the changes he promises is that the common man will be listened to - I really hope so - that would endear him to people the whole world over - I wish you people over there had a decent health system and he is promising to look at that - time will tell I guess.........

Thank you Tamarin! I still weep tears of relief! President Obama has his work to do. I believe that WE THE PEOPLE can help him do it!! Went to the Governor's Ball in Olympia last Wednesday night. Fantastico!! Chris Gregoire is my governor. You should have seen her, running bear-footed in freezing weather, from the capitol dome to the Hall of Justice, across the street. There was a heated tent-tunnel between the buildings, but the floor was sidewalk and street, burr. I think she had left her shoes on the dance floor!

The major problem is that he WILL try to pass a major health care package...Congress will stop him. Because of the medical industry lobbyists. They line the pockets of the Congress Then he will be blamed for not passing a medical plan!!
