I'd say it's a toss up between "The Profumo Affair" or however it's spelt and the time John Prescott got exposed for having an affair with that Tracey whatsername or it could even be the time he got egged when he went "walkabout in Wales".... 
How many would you like, mind you an essay isnt funny to read.
How about secretly rearming a nation we now label as "a global assister of terrorism, or terror state"......
Or starting conflicts to asset strip foriegn countries of their wealth.Theres so many its obscene.This isn't a dig at one nation, all the developed nations did it.......it used to be called colonisation, now its called international development!! What the governments miss, the corporations don't.....lets hope diamonds arent found at the end of my street or my house will be compulsary purchased for about 8 quid!
People soon forgot East Timor.......the world and our lovely leaders have a lot to answer for, and they dont always get justice for their deeds they commit in our name.
But to end on a happier note, how about john gummer force feeding his child a BSE Burger on the news for a soundbite, or when he found his home was near one of 3 sites in the uk proposed for dumping nuclear waste he proposed the most unsuitable one in scotland!! Even though the report said that one wasn't perfect.
Case of hipocracy and being a NIMBY all in one day!!
Maybe if shafting us all was punishable by hanging they wouldn't do it???
