First in fact we do not have country. We are districts of a village called earth and it is not motto.
You can not isolate yourself, becuase it is not possible!
It is not the matter of charity. Nobody needs finacial helps of you! Just do not protect dictators. It is enough! It is what bush is trying to do!
I am here in Middle East and I think I am not idiot! I see America frankly has cahnged its policies in middle esat! trying to develpoe democracy from every possible way!
But there is a fashionn among open minded people in every society just to critisize! ( no offend to any body at all) and it is a grave mistake some times! Ameriac is a unique super power of the world and because of tha has many responsbilities in front of the world!
for example when you and some other countries are responsible for global warming and Bangladish suffer from its effects and this poor Bangladeshi boy comes here and ask for prying!!!! for them, hoooow you could ignore the responsbility of your country or better to say district???
All of us are living on one boat which is called the earth. We all die or survive. There is no other way. Your effots against it just helps to happen a little bit later! I mean globalization!

Don't rage at me poolak.

I'm in this thread by choice, and I can just as easily leave it.

Our responsibility begins at home. We cannot neglect our own people and their needs for the sake of distant Imperial sorties. We learn nothing from history and are thus doomed to repeat it...Rome learned the same thing in the region, as did the Macedonians, Hittites, Assyrians, etc. on until "modern" times with the Crusades.

Trying to control a region of fanatics is a wasteful drain on any economy. People who'd rather die in a blaze of glory, taking as many people out as they can rather than listen to reason are not worth the effort. Its the new Crusade, and I for one will not be sucked into the same pointless debate.

As for the responsibility of super-powers...I shake my head at that. It's only when you need our help do you talk about our "responsibility". The rest of the time, people are contemptuous of Americans, or down-right hostile. You can't have your cake and eat it to, not from me, anyway.

The Pentagon, has tasked the United States Strategic Command (STRATCOM) with drawing up a contingency plan to be employed in response to another 9/11-type terrorist attack on the United States. The plan includes a large-scale air assault on Iran employing both conventional and tactical nuclear weapons. Within Iran there are more than 450 major strategic targets, including numerous suspected nuclear-weapons-program development sites. Many of the targets are hardened or are deep underground and could not be taken out by conventional weapons, hence the nuclear option.
As in the case of Iraq, the response is not conditional on Iran actually being involved in the act of terrorism directed against the United States. Several senior Air Force officers involved in the planning are reportedly appalled at the implications of what they are doing—that Iran is being set up for an unprovoked nuclear attack—but no one is prepared to damage his career by posing any objections.

For sure there would not be any war against Iran! America's plan against Iran is what like they did against soviet union!

Indeed, intelligence reports show Al Qaeda did not exist in Iraq until Bush invaded.

Instead of weakening fundamentalism in the region Bush strengthens it. The media, however, continues obsequiously to report Bush’s “blame” theory in which Iranians bear responsibility for deadly weapons used against US troops.

Bush also made verbal slaps at Syria for refusing to close the Damascus airport “to suicide bombers headed to Iraq.”

These verbal fusillades belong to Bush’s faith since the facts show that the largest number of suicide bombers come from Saudi Arabia, a country Bush faithfully calls an ally.

The most ridiculous faith based claim centers on the US-created Iraqi government.
Bush officials -- and Hillary Clinton -- blame this puppet for the problems confronting US forces. How can we withdraw our forces, asks Bush rhetorically, when the Iraqi government, that he created, does not meet key “benchmarks” that he created as congressional demand?
On July 12, Bush reported “mixed progress” on 18 targets that the Maiki government was supposed to meet.
Under sharp questioning from reporters, pointing to contradictions and problems in his stance on Iraq, Bush clung to faith.

“I believe that the military strategy we have is going to work, that’s what I believe,” he told a reporter.
A few asked him tough questions related to discrepancies between his previous statements on Iraq – from “Mission Accomplished” in May 2003 to “we’re making some progress in securing Baghdad” in 2007. Bush relied on the word “believe,” using it 21 times during his one hour press conference.

According to me there is a great war in the world between democracy( with all of its problems) and despotism!

Most of the American were thinking it was a easy war and they supported Bush at first. Now they see it is seious, they want to escape to their home, but first they want to justify their escape
(no personal offend to anyone).
But they can not escape, beacuse they are the first and main target of terorists and they will be obliged to defend themselves anyhow!
American leaders have understood that world has changed and now they are going to behave according to new situation!and cahnging Bush does not change anything.because real leaders are behind the curtains. Just pay attention to the mottos of Nanci Pelosi and her friends!!!
Now they have power and they show step by step that they are like Bush! these motos was just for absorbing votes of the people!

Saddam was a real criminal and it was very well to overthrow him!

Fight is inevitable!

I'm the last one to defend 'W' but I think this is misquoted and/or out of context. Such a law would never pass muster in any US court, even one stacked with Bush appointees.

For better or for worse we have a constitution, which has been weakened by this administration but it still has some life in it and we are a nation of litigious lawyers. Bring it on I say.

I just read the complete order. I think it expressly mentions people committing acts of violence or abetting people who commit acts of violence. Peaceful protest is not effected. And if we demonstrate and destroy public or private property their are a hosts of other laws. I think this is really targeted at shutting down funding and support for people who would materially oppose us in Iraq.

I am not in support of this, needless to say.
