Personally I was surprised to find that we were being rated without our permission. I didn't sign up on connecting singles to be rated .... and I think to implement something new .... people should have had to sign up for it themselves.
So even if I turn this rating off .... does it delete it from my profile?

What blows is I recieved 3 10's and 2 8's. But my rating is 6.2
I stopped the rating game but the results stay on the page. I was on another site that's all they do is rate pics. It's apopularity contest. You will always have a handful of people voting others a 1, to make them look better. It's pretty sad.

Judging people by appearance is just as shallow as judging them by color or race in my opinion. And I rated you a 10 on substance Joel right before I disabled it. There is so much more to a man or a woman than a nice pic. When I look in the mirrow I think about what I can change to make me a better person, that's where it all begins. And I have a 13 year old daughter and I teach her, you spend more time with yourself than anyone else so when you look in the mirrow know that you have done your best and been true to yourself. She is an intelligent girl who detest prejudice and is not shallow at all. She makes me proud.

Well I just changed it to delete the rating ... and it took the results off .... so I'm not sure why it didn't work for you as it doesn't show up on my page .... unless I'm missing it.

I didn't know that it could be turned off at first, but no it won't turn anything else off other than the rating feature.
I can just imagine all the other folks who don't know that it can be turned off.....& somehow they get a rating that somehow deems them "unworthy"

Many people on many other sites have found this rating, offensive, repulsive and juvenile. Many that have had this "rating" have become notorious for becoming a playground in which to insult and offend many members simply because of their appearances/ looks. Many withdrew. Many do, however, thrive on their vanity and love it.
I , personally find it disgusting and have given my opinion the CS. I am in full sympathy with those who have and will...find this so called "amusement" to be offensive and very immature. Many will have their feelings hurt quite unnecessarily simply because of their looks. I do not find that "amusing". Many will delete their photos and or profiles as has happened on many other sites. I refuse to take part in this "amusement"
We were not notified nor did I ever see any posted notice that CS was planning to install this; I would have preferred to be able to send and receive photos from other members without having to resort to the use of the regular e-mail services. Just my opinion on this.

I was going so fast handing out 10s that occasionally they were handed out to guys....but I guess I can live with that.
I've have so much email from those who don't pay attention to the forums that I can't possibly answer them all....that's bad.
Some were getting 1s & 2s and were starting to feel pretty down....that's bad.
The 10s cheered them up a bit....that's good.
I have to explain how I loathe (judgment in general) but especially judgments on appearance and how "everyone" got a 10......This can be good OR bad.
MAJOR BACKFIRE!!!!
I want to explain that the 10s WERE specifically for them, but for everyone else too.
Should know to stay COMPLETELY out of the judging business, even when trying to put a positive spin on it.
