A physicist- i have a strong mathamatical/scince aptitude
I wanted to travel the world work and live in different countries. Why - cause there were so many better places to be than where I was.
I am exactly in the place I hoped to be, and much more minus the Soulmate I may still search for 
I wanted to be a vet or an archeaologist. (I see dead people! lol!)
I am in neither profession.
I am torn between what I must do to survive to pay the bills & keep the proverbial wolves at bay! (this is finally figured out now) & the creative side of me that makes me tick (culture: writing, art & theatre).
It seems to be a never-ending struggle to keep this balanced. At least I'm never bored!
The down side is there is little leisure time.

I alwasy wanted to be a lawyer when I was about 6 years old....but then, decided that a teacher is what I wanted to be..........
as I got to the ripe old age of 15 , I wanted to be the one who ran a company and was the boss!

Why? - its in the family blood! But unlike those before me, I decided to join the Army and not the Navy like my father, or the RAF like my grandfather.

I wanted o be a music teacher, I had to give my dreams up and go to work in any ob I could find and I have had various job. from Travel agent, office clerk/ nursery school each is the closest I came to teacher. Now I am a multi tasker
First I wanted to be an astronaut until I found out that there weren't any Canadian astronauts back then. Then I wanted to be a mountie and that almost happened but by then I had already reconsidered.

Me too, Annette was a dream of mine along with Patty Duke.
I applied to the RCMP way back in 1980 but didn't hear anything. A year later I was working up by the Arctic ocean when my mother in New Brunswick informed me that a letter had arrived requesting that I write an entrance exam at any local detachment. If I passed I was to report to Regina on a certain date.
I thought about it for a few days. First I would have to learn to swim and I have a phobia of deep water after nearly drowning when I was 9. Also I didn't want to be the one to tell anyone that one of their loved ones had been killed in an accident or whatever. Also to be one of the guys to scrape an accident victim off the road didn't appeal to me.
There was also the possibility of getting shot. I wrote a tactfully worded letter back and declined.
