Yes exactly and they are untreatable...The higher they rate on the check list the more psychopathic they are and the more untreatable they become...They are now thinking of using this check list in Britain as part of their corporate hiring pratice to ensure they are not hiring a psychopath...Why?...Because there have been actual businesses that have went under due to one psychopathic manager within an organization due to the divide and conquer, manipulation and outright bullying that went on...Most if not all of their good people end up quitting oir being fired and there is nobody productive left to sustain the company!

Unfortunately for us " sane people" the Psychopath very seldom inhibits ALL those traits and almost all of them know exactly what ails them and are able to "act" the part of a "sane" person.
My dad had a few mental illnesses he genetically "gifted" me with and it took quite a few years to remedy but I am proud to say that not only have I eradicated them from my psyche, on my own, but am now surprised to find out that I mentally more stable than a lot of the folks I meet out there in the world.
One more reason for "universal health coverage". People need help!

Good for you...You're right...that's what makes a psychopath do dangerous is because they can convince everybody they are normal...It's not until you actually study them that you can start to identify and see how it is they manipulate...interact and actually accomplish the things they do!

The following childhood indicators are to be interpreted not as to the type of behavior, but as to its relentless and unvarying occurrence. Not all must be present concurrently, but at least a number of them need to be present over a period of years:
An extended period of bedwetting past the preschool years that is not due to any medical problem.
Cruelty to animals beyond an angry outburst.
Firesetting and other vandalism. Not to be confused with playing with matches, which is not uncommon for preschoolers. This is the deliberate setting of destructive fires with utter disregard for the property and lives of others.
Lying, often without discernible objectives, extending beyond a child's normal impulse not to be punished. Lies that are so extensive that it is often impossible to know lies from truth.
Theft and truancy.
Aggression to peers, not necessarily physical, which can include getting others into trouble or a campaign of psychological torment.

A very good thread and very informative...It just highlights the fact that a person can be ill on the outside and it's visable for all to see but when it's with the mind it takes a lot longer and can remain hidden! I would expect that the phsycopath is the last one to realise he/she is unwell! Scary thought eh?

NO they don't...Case in point...On the documentary last night a man who had spent all but about 7 years of his life in jail for various crimes had completed the pshychopathy check list and rated high on the scale...indicating he was a clear psychpath and possessed most of the traits...The only thing he was concerned with was the fact that now he was labelled as untreatable and that he was not consulted about the test...Not about the consequences of his actions or anything else...Nor was there any remorse or admission on his part that he very well could be or is sick!

You didn't mention "narccisit",very close and fits alot of your definitions.Very hard to detect without testing and knowing history of person,they are so charming on the outside,cause they are acting out what they have learned to do.They are born without a concienes-sp sorry.They learn from what they see and hear but can't feel emotions from birth.Very sad

(perceived as rude imposition, narcissists react very badly to restrictions placed on their freedom) ... I (never mention the fact that you are a separate, independent entity, narcissists regard others as extensions of their selves, their internalization processes were screwed up and they did not differentiate properly) ..." You get the gist of it.

Psychopaths also have a markedly distorted sense of the potential consequences of their actions, not only for others, but also for themselves. They do not, for example, deeply recognize the risk of being caught, disbelieved or injured as a result of their behaviour.
