So you are invited to a wedding, but not your fiance/spouse, kids. what is your opinion on that. Do you pay a sitter to look after your kids while you go out of town for the wedding, or do you say no to the invitation.....but then you don't want to hurt anyones feelings.

That would depend on you. In my opinion to invite some one to a wedding and not invite thier spouse or 'guest' is inconsiderate. I can understand not inviting the kids..that's the choice of the bride and groom.

I have been to some weddings and some other occasions..where children have misbehaved SOOOOOO dreadfully and the parents not even taking any notice........so I can totally see that....as for a partner well..that just is kind of disrespectful......

I understand the choice is up to the bride.....the groom doesn't have much say in this case.

I keep hearing that as well from others....I have taken a kid to a wedding before, none of that nonsense, but I uppose if the parents wanrt to sit and do absolutely nothing and let the kids run rampant, that is an issue worth looking at before the wedding day.

Then that's a sad thing.

I have seen where it was requested that children do not attend the church service. It really sucks when a kid is crying in the church and the parent does not take them out.

At my next wedding, I don't want any men there at all. Invite all your female friends and even pretty women you don't know because nothing lasts forever and I may want to start a list of potential next exes.

Seriously, if I was invited to even a brother's wedding and my lady wasn't welcome, guess what? That's the easiest answer ever. No thanks bro, but I'll for sure be there for your divorce party.

People! Weddings are CELEBRATIONS, not funerals (okay, down the road that might be debatable!rolling on the floor laughing )
Kids laughing and screaming, drunk old Uncle George hitting on your even drunker Aunt Clara, good food, good song, lots of dancing, your best man riding into the hall on a mule, naked as the day he was born to give the "toast to the bride", laughter, .....save the perfection for the honeymoon! Thats where husband and wife celebrate. Until then, let those close to you celebrate your union, and pray like hell they don't have to call in the SWAT team at the wedding!!rolling on the floor laughing

I see you have been to a few eye raisers.......rolling on the floor laughing I agree that the union should be celebrated, but some folks are thinking it's their day only!

:-)

To those who feel that their MARRIAGE should be their's alone,....then do so,....get married in private, by a waterfall in the Fiji Islands or what seems appropriate, either alone, or with the "chosen few". And THEN, hand and hand, as husband and wife, have a WEDDING party and celebrate! Funerals aren't for the dead, they are for those left behind! Lkewise, a marriage is for the couple,....but the wedding is for ALL!

Yup! Been to some damn fine weddings!!!applause rolling on the floor laughing
