wedwardlinz, Upper Austria Austria680 Threads 7,252 Postsjust to pose a question; does having a pet enhance you chances of meeting a future partner; i was recently badgered by my 10 yr old daughter into getting asmall dog [didnt take much persuading] and im amazed at the number of people you meet and chat to on a 2hr walk by the local see; do you think having a helps find a new partner?
My dog is not exactly the best enticer if I want to meet people.
It's a small dog, no official breed, so I say it's an Audi dog.
She's lovely and a darling but she can't stand other dogs, she'll go for their throats if I let her... Once, she went for a rotwiler and she was lucky the big dog was very peaceful.
She goes with a leash and has to wear a muzzle just in case she bites some runner that decides to come to close to me!
Taking the rubbish out my be a better idea for me, but that's not exactly a romantic thing to chat about, right? "Hello, do you throw your rubbish often?"

well i never you know i throw my rubbish out everyday; and my little dog is a roller and is lady and child friendly ; and now im going TO WALK THE DOG : be back later alligater

I didn't see you with your doggie! I just came back from taking her out for a little wee wee. My dog would have smelled yours!

it was raining very hard this morning and i walked the dog round the plesching see and up to the green rail bridge and back along the danube about 5and half km ; it gve us both an appetite does you good to walk i do this walk twice a day
lazy me.... I don't take the car to the bathroom because I won't fit in the corridor and believe me, I've tried!

walk my dog every day, and often walk round with someone that I know, male and female, but never met anyone that I want to date whilst walking

I go to dog shows both at home and abroad quite a lot, and most dog owners and breeders are either women or - sorry! - gay men, many of whom are my good friends. Anyway, I do not think that I would like to have romance with a professional dog breeder, I cannot explain why. Maybe because dogs are my hobby and not profession...

I don`t think I can bring myself to be THAT desperate. I love dogs, and in SA I had 5, but I lived on a farm, and never saw the dog poo. Here in CH I would have to pick it up in one of those little black doggy-poo bags .. and I just cannot bare the thought/feeling of warm dog poo! ... And then have to carry it around for the rest of my walk! Yugh!
... Maybe I could train myself to it? ... like start with a realy tiny little puppy and as it grows, and its poo grows, I will get used to it?
