I probably could meet more guys if I put more effort into contacting the few men from Maine.

Distance can be overcome. I chased my ex to Iceland and we subsequently had 2 happy years of marriage. The other 12 or so years were OK I suppose. It was worth it.

Thats if you are living in different countries or thousands of miles apart, you really need to think on that one. I mean to say, if you can only afford visit once a while, is it worth a visit or stay long to decide u need to be with the person? See if you really like someone and want to marry, you fly from so far to meet, and chances are you have no clue how its gonna be? Doesnt it sound like life itself? Sometimes well u need to take the chance, I heard it in one of the threads here. Also about the costs involved, can anyone tell me in this long distance scenario, do you guys split the bills to pay or just one person pays? Isnt it embarrassing to split like that I mean if you have real life experience of this sort of adventure, please, let me know how u manage the "money " part

My 2 cents - I do beleive the long distance is designed for people in a higher bracket or the plastic can cover it
As for myself I am retired, enjoy the single sites, but unfortuantely the profiles that catches my eye are untouchable for me.
