Hi there Serendipity and welcome. You could not have met a more welcoming group of people here. I originally went on this site for the chat/dating scene and even though this site doesn't seem to be engineered well for dating, the forums have been excellent and the people i've met on here have been an absolute delight, even in terms of just having somewhere to vent. good luck in Wollongong. I recently moved to brisbane from newcastle and no how tough it is settling in somewhere new. all the best.

I have never been to Euchuca but know where it is, it was made famous in one of my favourite mini-series of all time, All The Rivers Run, and I certainly plan to visit there one day in the near-ish future.

Ignore my post in the "roadtrip" tread. I missed this one and you've answered my question. I thouhgt at first that the movie was a sci fi I saw. But then realised I was wrong. It was a good sci fi - shame. I have see the movie you both speak of and enjoyed it.

I moved to brisbane because i needed a change and a lot of people in this group know what that change was and it is kind of personal but i'll elaborate on that in time. As for Newcastle, well it may have had earthquakes and recently floods in which lives have ended and people have lost their homes but it has been my home for about 23 years and it's a special place for those who live there. unfortunately its taken nearly twenty years after the collapse of the bhp to shed its 'industrial city' image which everyone labels it, only to find it's becoming a different type of city. I think you'll find it;s the people rather than the city, that are impressive for they're the people i miss the most at this point in time.
Yeah Newbie as you know I lived near Newcastle for a year some time ago and definitely the people - I would have to say Newy people are some of the friendliest I have ever come across.
