I went into one of those places once, but it wasn't a dating site, it was a site for kids and a student of mine told me about it, I went in to check it to see if it was ok or if I had to tell the parents. The place was ok (can't remember the name) and I even played a game of chess with someone.

I think it is really cool that you can meet and chat with people from all over the world online… However, I think this would be taking it a bit to far for me… Maybe a little too much like sitting in a costume at a round table with a bunch of introverts playing Dungeons and Dragons… LOL

Yes, I've been going on those sites for about 8 years, it's similar to being a character in a video game with plenty of chat too

That's right, whats the name of the costume or character, Oh yes, avatar. Some of them you only get the basic avatar free then they charge you if to be a vip if you want a fancy outfit. I do go on one thats completely free though and even has an instant messenger on it.
