I was 5 years of age when one day I ran out of my bedroom screaming in delight to Mom that Ricky and I, which was my younger brother, just got done playing football.

Mom freaked out on me saying No No No, your crazy, your crazy. I did not know that at that moment of time that she just received a call from the Hospital that her son Ricky just passed away. Ricky came to see me that night in spirit form that looked as though he was all their live and in the flesh after his death that I knew nothing of. Mom and Dad did not talk about Ricky's serious Illness to me at my age, feeling it wasn't the best thing to be talking about to a little boy of age 5.

They meant well; but he was dying of Leukemia and I was unaware of that. All I knew or thought I knew at that time of life was that I killed my brother Ricky when I did learn of his death. Mom and Dad were too traumatized themselves to have been aware at that moment something wasn't right with their other son Bobby which was I, so life carried on from that day forth and they were not aware of the nightmare I was living in my mind, where I thought it was I, who killed my brother Ricky.

See, before that time all I could recall was the day Ricky and I were playing next door in the neighbors yard that had many trees on a rolling hill type yard where us young boys in the neighborhood could take this beat up old tricycle and ride it down that hill; but the bike had no handlebars and us young boys had to kick the pedals left to right to dodge each tree as we went rolling down the hill at a rather fast clip of speed.

We were all having the time of our life's and I said hey Ricky come on and ride the tricycle down the Hill. He was scared and said No, I don't want to, I'm scared, so I said to Ricky, it's easy so don't be scared, just do what I do and kick the pedals left to right to dodge the trees. Since I was his older brother, he cherished and honored me and would die for me just to please me.

So off he went flying down the hill and I saw him heading towards one big tree going fast and I scream out Ricky, Ricky, kick the pedal to the left and he scream out I don't know how. I scream out again kick it with your foot and then it was to late. He had hit the tree head on and blood flew everywhere from his head that I saw.

Now some time past after this incident happened that lead him to the Hospital for stitches; but for some odd reason when I learned of his death all I could do is think to myself Oh! No! I killed my brother Ricky and became very quiet and withdrawn. I use to sit in the corners of the house for hours on end in a trance that mother never could really understand because at that age I didn't know how to communicate such a traumatic thing as thinking Momma I am the one who killed your son and my brother Ricky.

I lived with those thoughts up to age 18 when one day out of the blue I told my mother that I use to believe I killed Ricky and she said Oh! No Bobby you never killed Ricky, where in the hell did you ever get that idea that you did such a think to him and I told her on the story of the hill with the bike and talking him into riding it down that hill that day and only recalling his head hitting it and blood everywhere while he cried out loudly do to the pain and I felt so terrible over that because it was I who talked him onto riding down that hill with a bike that was not in good condition because of no handlebars. Mom also felt bad that I lived with those thoughts for so many years and never said anything. Hell No, I felt terrible and guilty over my thoughts that were incorrect.

Ricky in spirit did come see me the night of his death and I knew nothing about him dying in the hospital that evening, so I would have to say Yes there is such a thing people call Ghosts; but I call them spirits.

ur story is good read ,,,i feel sorry for the situation u were and for loosing ur brother at such a young age ,,its really tragic and hurts for a long time .

but did nothing wrong and my dad have also seen my grand father in dreams ,,the same night my grandfather died ,and few days latr also .

You wont believe this but I used to see a Woman holding his dead baby late night in my dads farms back in me country.
