I'm kinda chicken to arrange these meetings, ya know? Sorta along the lines of picking up hitch-hikers. I know my Momma scared the p-jesus out of me with horror stories, but I think if your smart about it... well here's hoping anyway. Otherwise what the heck am I doin' here?! I have met 4 people off the net, with mostly luck.
First time was as friends, but I was too freaked out to enjoy the complany.
Second was a blast, but too much like a brother and we're still great friends that love to bash each other.
Third was ummmmm, TOO intense and my total opposite so I bailed.
Fourth was Winds after swearing for 6 months that I'd never meet or date him. lmaooooooooo
I think it's all about common sense.
And I think if there's a "stand up", you probably didn't talk long enough to be comfortable at the very least, let alone excited.

hard to meet people when you are always driving, but I aint worried enough to say it's outta the question. If it doesn't seem to work right away, I bail, but I'm honest about it.

I have met loads of Guys.. and no i have never been stood up.. but i have left when one guy went to the loo.. ok ok ok i AM ashamed but he never stopped talking him him him!! everytime i opened my mouth to say something i was shut up by him!!!

I've met three people off the internet before. You just have to use common sense about it and try to do things that will keep you safe until you get to know them face to face and feel comfortable about them knowing where you live. It's tough meeting new people, especially when it is from the internet world.

I've (fortunately) only had the pleasure of arranging one meeting. And he showed up!!
I'm just curious as to how many of these "meetings" have fallen through the crack in the floor......
