I am floored at the way some people treat the people they call friend. I am the type of friendwho is there thru thick and thin. When I meet someone new, I take them at face value and for who they tell me they are until I am shown different. I guess I am the abmormal person for feeling this way because there have been a few here on CS that have told me that they wanted to be friends, then say that they don't think that this is going anywhere.....WHAT???? I never thought that it was anything other than friendship...

Am I the only one that this is happening to??

I don't know if my experience on CS could be characterized as the same as yours, but I know what you mean... I guess for some people on here, we're just a Profile Handle and a picture...

UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM....I don't blame you for being confused...BUT I always have the opposite problem....Say I only want to be friends upfront...they want more........and I end up being the bad one....when I remind them I told them from the start I only ever wanted be friends!!!!!!!

So apparently the word friendship is a confusing term to a few!!!!!!!

A friend will be the one who tells you that you are not worthless when you are feeling worthless,

A friend will be the one who tells you that you have crossed the line as well

They will be there to put a well place foot along side your rear end when you are dragging it on the ground for whatever reason,

They will be there to share in your greatest joy, and in your deepest darkest moments as well.

A friend doesn't have to be at your side, they only need to be close enough for you to be able to reach them in whatever way you can.

conversing

For what it's worth, there are several people here I call friend. I mean, people that, if you really needed them, you could count on them. And vice-versa. Trust. Amazing thing...

I think the word friend needs to REALLY be defined! I am of the opinion that the word "friend" is too easily bantered about! I can be very friendly...without being a friend! I have only two true friends. My ex-wife, who is on this site; and my old Army buddy in Las Vegas.

Again, that doesn't mean I can't be friendly to many others JMOwave

If we can share unconditional love and trust, then we are friends.
