I Cherish Your Love

"Take my frail hand,sit with me my love..

The beauty still there In those failing eyes..

Your hair is silver,turned now changed with time..

As I stare with all my love,I honor you dear my wife and
friend..

Days are quickly passing,soon I will have to go,taking your love it's mine..

Remembering the time we shared,mostly in a picture book album of years taken and long ago..

Blessed with children,now grown,grand children with children
of their own..

We shared loved and passed it on,they will see someday,as we have seen..

God brought us here to love,teach,and pass it on,to the
gifts we borrowed..

Know,young lady you have taught me caring,and the beauty of sharing,and what our love means..

As I sit close to you trying to let you know,your heart
is what I cherished most..

In my younger days,alittle wild,normal but all in fun,there
you stood,with your shaking head..

Not a word spoken,just a grin,arms reached out to say ok,
but,but Instead in love..

You understood,your quite a lady,glad your the one,I might have been alittle young and dumb..

As we walked our path good and bad,hand and hand,you taught me what I had..

There wasn't nothing you wouldn't do,for me or our children
as they grow..

Two strong boys ten years apart,same day same month different as night and day..not good..not bad..

Than there's the girl's one in April,and yea the little one
she was born on that special day,You share every year..

Mothers day she made special and for me was a little
trouble.She was the hand full of them all..

But our hearts loved them the same each and everyone..

May I hug you now for I cherish your love,the life we shared
And all we have endured,is here in my heart..

So remember love when I go,all of love,your love I so
Cherish your heart,they go with me it's stays nothing not death can take it away..

It's was a gift,vowels we made in front of God,we kept,
honored and cherished forever stayed..

Once gone don't worry my love I'm only a memory and a
heart beat away there in your heart..

We've had a wonderful life,one of sharing,caring,and of
true love,may I seal this with a kiss..

All the years of our life together it was and well always be
of things treasured the most,of all I charish your love"..

Thank you,my father is 86 yrs old in failing
health,he asked me to write it for her..It has
taken many days,because the air he breaths
is not his own..I hope that some day,a man
feels for me this way......chance

Knowing you as I do, you sat there and you cried with every word you wrote, as your heart was breaking because you are losing someone who means more to you, than words could possibly describe.
My heart goes out to you, and you know I love you, I hold you close to my heart and you and your family are in my prayers.
I can SO understand why your Daddy loved this poem so much. It is beautiful, and says so much about his love for his wife and kids.
