That's a nasty situation. If you perceive it as being second, you can't really go on with it, though people do, and die inside.
Yet, many relationships have choice juntures, places where one person has ot go in one direction, and the other can choose the same or not. If he has to decide who's number one for him, what is he to do?
This is the risk of building happiness based on another. I guess we'd be better off if we could build our happiness WITH the other.

thanks dix i think i can deal with out the knuckles at least he told me what he was feeling and didnt lie to me about it ..he's a great guy .. really he is .. i know how he feels too . i've been there i've wanted 2 ppl before and didnt know what to do .. in the end i didnt go with either of them cause i didnt want to hurt one or the other

i would never let myself be second, i dont mind sharing first place with family & work, but never with another girl.
if he's got issues, take a break from each other to experience different people, and if you guys realize that you are far better off being together than being apart, then that's great and you'll know its true love. but if he doesnt come back, let him go cause its not meant to be.

the guy i'm dating told me a few weeks ago that he's got feelings for someone else that's his best friend..he says he loves me but she sent him a letter and told him not to make up his mind untill he reads it..he said he doesnt know what it says , but it could determine if we are still toghether after he gets it .. i just dont know should i stick with him and hope thats he choses me or tell him i'm not settling for being 2nd choice in his life..
