Well I found out yesterday, my oldest took the afternoon off to type up a letter about my situation, and emailed it to every gorvernment office.smitten

When I found that out of course the tears crying

Because I am entitle to disibility pension, and the reason I cannot apply is because no family doctor, and all my records where sent to Toronto after my family Doctor closed his office, 5-6 yrs ago.mumbling

I can work in a office, but cannot work standing up for a lenth of time that is why it is difficult for me to find employment, or I would be working as a salesclerk dunno

The reason I can relate to my youngest injuries, is because I had also injured myself and had back surgery the L4 & L5 Disk, so now I have hardware in my back, Fusion as they call it back then. You cannot tell by looking at me except for the long scar down the middle of my back wow

Now that I am 59, I am entitled to a pension and isn't it wonderful I have no means to start the process at all, why "no Doctor" and that is why my oldest daughter knowing I have reached a point that I have to relocate where more employment (office work) .............very mad

Just could not stand by without trying every means possible to get what I am entitle to which means I would not be in this predictement doh

Well can I suggest that you contact a doctor that you like and have him send for your records? My family doctor retired and I was able to have my files transfered to another doctor who was willing to take his patients.

As well - why were your records sent to Toronto?

Contact another family doctor is what anyone "must" do to proceed to transfer records, and maintain a family physician.

Here in this "small" community 3 doctors retired mine, one of them. This community is in "need" of doctors, but we have to endure what is going on and visit walk in clinics etc....

This is our situation :

PEMBROKE – According to the Upper Ottawa Valley Medical Recruitment Committee,
the sudden resignation of Doctors has pushed an already significant
physician shortage in the area into crisis mode.

Langleygirl you were fortunate to have the luxury of another family Doctor, many here in this community are without and all records transfered to Toronto, Ontario
