THE AD

What am I doing wrong?
Okay, I'm tired of beating around the bush. I'm a beautiful
(spectacularly beautiful) 25 year old girl. I'm articulate and classy.
I'm not from New York . I'm looking to get married to a guy who makes at
least half a million a year. I know how that sounds, but keep in mind
that a million a year is middle class in New York City , so I don't think
I'm overreaching at all.
Are there any guys who make 500K or more on this board? Any wives? Could
you send me some tips? I dated a business man who makes average around
200 - 250. But that's where I seem to hit a roadblock. 250,000 won't get
me to central park west. I know a woman in my yoga class who was married
to an investment banker and lives in Tribeca, and she's not as pretty as
I am, nor is she a great genius. So what is she doing right? How do I
get to her level?
Here are my questions specifically:
- Where do you single rich men hang out? Give me specifics- bars,
restaurants, gyms
-What are you looking for in a mate? Be honest guys, you won't hurt my
feelings
-Is there an age range I should be targeting (I'm 25)?
- Why are some of the women living lavish lifestyles on the upper east
side so plain? I've seen really 'plain jane' boring types who have
nothing to offer married to incredibly wealthy guys. I've seen drop dead
gorgeous girls in singles bars in the east village. What's the story
there?
- Jobs I should look out for? Everyone knows - lawyer, investment
banker, doctor. How much do those guys really make? And where do they
hang out? Where do the hedge fund guys hang out?
- How you decide marriage vs. just a girlfriend? I am looking for
MARRIAGE ONLY
Please hold your insults - I'm putting myself out there in an honest
way. Most beautiful women are superficial; at least I'm being up front
about it. I wouldn't be searching for these kind of guys if I wasn't
able to match them - in looks, culture, sophistication, and keeping a
nice home and hearth.

but what does the lady have to offer in return? What makes HER special, apart from her ability to use a can opener?

Guitarman seems to have deserrted us....I beg to differ to your last comment Sir....the lady in question IS special....apart from her can-opening abilities, she is extremely focused about what she wants...she has good writing ability, and she is quite creative and original...and don't forget!!...honest!
Of course, she is beautiful and desireable....perhaps these are exactly the attributes that a New York broker or options Trader finds appealing...I would wager that the lady has had some interesting propositions...you just never know!
...I think I feel another TV series coming on....it's title?...something like "Rich man, poor Chick"....a weekly competition to see how creative blue collar beauties can get hunting rich dudes....(sorry, I've already copyrighted it!!!)...tongue

Ok..I'm going to switch sides here and play devil's advocate ok??....

The lady has stated that she is looking for a guy who makes half a million a year in New York City. A 1/2 million per annum in NYC is today no big deal....as she said, it's positively middle class...So what she is really saying is, she's looking for a reasonably respectable, well-educated, reasonably successful, young guy who wants a spectacularly beautiful young woman as his wife....is it fair to brand her a golddigger??...isn't that kinda what all young women are looking for???...perhaps we do her an injustice....perhaps she is simply stating the obvious, and we should respect her for her honesty....? Comments welcome...

I buy what Cherscic is saying....if instead of a Spell-checker there was an "Honesty-checker", then half our profiles would probably change overnight, right??....what would yours say???..

In a sarcasm way she is honest.

One question I would like to ask:

How come they havn't found a partner if they are how they describe themselves?

The profiles should be something like this:
I want you for my pleasure............to satisfy my needs........but dont even think of spending my money.

No, I disagree.....she is looking for marriage, not pleasure...she is clearly looking to marry into a particular asset class....she's looking for a legal contract, not a fling....so pleasure has nothing to do with it, this is serious shopping here....

The second part of this joke is on a separate thread, which you are cordially invited to read before going beetroot coloured and bursting any veins.

It is rather unfortunate that Guitarmannnnnnnnnn did not post the 2nd part as a new post to this thread, but rather opted for a new thread, thus causing untold mayhem, an increase in the price of copper, crude oil to hit USD 86.00 a barrel, an increase in the price of wheat, a mineshaft to collapse killing 53 miners, a train to de-rail killing 71 people and the death of one innocent tapir.

The turtle moves.....

Ok, so how does a humble man like myself attract a woman earning $500k+ per annum? I suppose I could lease myself out on a trial basis!

Forget the 500K Sir Knight...what you need is a woman with an intellect to match your own.....may I suggest the lady on the following link, she is a statistician of some serious renown and she is looking for someone with a brilliant mind. I thought immediately of you....
With respect,
Your humble servant,
Slag

Dear Slag,

but you have already tried to set her up with KT; are you working on a purely commission basis instead of looking after the emotional and physical needs of your clients?

Sir Rusty Codpiece,
Give me a break... I am clearly out of the 500K market due to my age and miserable IQ....a guy's gotta make a living somehow....

PS: if you do hook up with Miss Tart, my charge is 10% of your divorce settlement, ok?...rolling on the floor laughing

Miss Tart!

I'll have you know that I would never call a lady on $500k + per annum 'Miss Tart'...... I's call her 'darlink' in my most seductive fake French accent!

It's MS Tart to you!

This KT is interesting certainly, but I forgot to explicitly state the last criterion (why it goes from 5.25 to .525 million candidates).

They have to be taller than me.

KT, endearing vole-strangler though he may be, is a smidge on the petit side. Quelle domage.
