reference o NATIONAL SERVCE. yes i did mine. the programme BAD LADS ARMY did not depicted the discipline in the army at that time.
Being stationed in Gemany i was sujected to punishment by being sent to BIELEFELD MILITARTY CORRECTION ESTYABLISHMENT..
The sentencing could be from 28 days to 156 days depending on the misdemeanor. Youi did.nt have to commit what we refere to now as criminal activities.. I got 28 day MCE. for not cleaning my kit properly..
The regime was very tough. You could.nt throw your hand in like bad lads army. but you would have to sucumme to humiliation. disipline.
And bullying. Some may think this was very unfair. It was But the end result justified what the army wanted TO OBEY
I dont think that the youth of today could even do 28 days.
But its that type of regime which is needed
Remember once you had signed for the Qeens shilling the army own you 24/7
omg I still remember being marches at the pace the provo sgt called out after being "drunk" for our Plt Sgts kit inspection at 7am on a Sat morning and the pleasant PT lesson (beasting) from the RPs, god bless their cotton socks
point is army discipline is whats needed and yes I still say bring chain gangs in and let the scum clean the streets in prison uniforms chained together
I think a bit of humiliation and public service is what is needed for them as they have the attitude they are too good to act like normal people and have a right to do what they want when they want and how they want
