I get scam mails from all over the world ( nigeria, Africa, etc ) about someone who wanted to share or even give me his fortunes....from banks , corporations name them and they have thought of it...
Thankgod .. no scam mails with marriage and moving in prospects as i have heard it happens...
i usally put any anonymous money or fortune shaers to spam .. and do not bother to check the country .. so no idea off late..

Not me.
And no one has called me a scammer *yet* to my face. Have been called a liar in regards to my 'real' location though *in codes*, don't know if it counts as being called a scammer. Codes i broke and shook off exhaustively.

I did. The person or people got my information from this site and started chatting with me under false pretences. I chated with (who I thougt was one person) for more than 5 months and then found out after giving my address, that it was a scam,
I received flowers first. I was so excited, I thought that he really cared because I had been hurt(fractured ankle)
then the next thing I know, there is a phone call from Dell computers, asking me if I had ordered a lap top computer.
I didn't and was then informed of the scam that was being run,
talk about feeling like a sap. That is one of the reasons that I am so leary of giving too much information to anyone person.

Most of the ones I've met are from Nigeria

Some people tend to be under the wrong impression when it comes to Africa and South Africa. Nigeria is a very long way from South Africa....the closest country to South Africa is either Botswana or Mozambique......
How many people on here have encountered scammers from South Africa?.
