I was in the mood today for a big cuddle... have been feeling a little isolated with everyone gone away... good to get me in the mood for my art though!!

Have you been doing much of your art work since you have been off work? I have had heaps of time off work lately and have been too slack to do anything

Just finished a firing.. two large pieces that both cracked in the kiln...due to my impatience... i must work on that!!!
I wanted to throw one piece away but the neighbours were intent on having the piece that broke in four pieces and so we glued it up and have put it outside in the garden and i must admit it actually looks as if it is meant to be like that. (that was my big Punk Rocker piece..) Bikini girl broke in half but i am going to put her in my pond and put the pieces either side of the fountain spout and put a few stones and water lillies inbetween the gap and it will look as if it was suppose to be like that!! So not a total loss..
I have two pieces i have to make to order some bathroom tiles and a dogs headstone but am starting to get back into the mood so will get stuck in tommorrow and make some more stuff. I have made a few pots and platters on the wheel as well. So all good am on my own up here at the moment as the others have gone camping.. and the isolation is good i will get into the right headspace to do my art as like always it is all or nothing with me... lol!!

Have been laying low a bit the last week or so to get through Christmas period...as might have picked up, jokes apart, I don't like Christmas much ...it has always been a tough time of year due to family history and being on my own...so I do what I can to survive it, volunteer work, look after kids, do some art and craft for a couple of weeks and look forward to January and a new year...yey. But a great big hug to anyone else out there who has found the last week or so really hard.

You sound like you have been very creative Karen...but what is that they say about more haste less speed? Must catch up soon...
